Is that an error or does 2.3.0 demand GD Library.
In WAMP you can just turn it on.
Dos anyone know a host, who do not offers GD Library?

Hey Sasbon

First of all - Welcome!

Default You have the 3 groups, with You selv in Webmaster-group.
A good idea is to create a Admin-group whith the same priveleges as the webmaster-group.
Create a new user for the webmaster group and change you own account to Admin-group.

If You have done that, you always have another useraccount if anything goes wrong
Just remember to permit the previleges to the admin-group every time you installe something og create new categories.
Trust mee - You well get lost of the feeling that every thing is lost.

Have You changed something in the theme?

Do you have another account?
(Yes - it is a excellent idea, to have one account for the webmaster-role and one account for daily use. Then give the daily account another user group between resisted users and webmasters)

A bit of fun to read, but a bit harrowing.
Many of us runs a XOOPS site and take (perhaps) backup through phpmyadmin or a backup module. Perhaps someone, other than me, also makes backup of the files via FTP.

It is always recommended to backup, before the installation of modules, etc. but werry few know how to restore a backup.
Is there any documentation about
restore of the XOOPS or restore
backup/restore of a single module ?

Instead the Local Support Badges, let's use the flags as in the last WOX

of course

Could you write an easy to understand intro/header for that group, Mamba? Very basic...

I also thought of having the front page (english) made in flash so it really would stand out... What do you think?

Take a look at this PDF-file:
XOOPS Operations Guide 1.0

Some of the content (maybe all?) is for the blocks.

And You have this PDF-file:
A Visual introduction
If You can make some of the content in flash and at the same time, leave place for translations.

Check the figures. Maybee they can be in flash and the description in language files.

After installation they probably want to change the logo... how? They want a theme with flowers as it is a flower shop... where...how??

Don't you know that?

You part with modules is, as far as I know, taking care of by the module-group.

Personally I ask the users "what do you need? Witch function do you need?"
Then I can help them with a module
