Headlines Module Fatal Error

I just realized I may have posted my question on the wrong section before. So here goes:
When I click on Headlines link from my site I get a blank page. When I tried to add a newsfeed the whole site disappeared. When I deleted it, the site reappeared.
while I was searching around to see if any one else had this problem I came across a nifty tip in the March newsletter (Thanks for the newsletter...I'm such a newbie!). I turned on debug for PHP and got the error:
Fatal error: Call to a member function on a non-object in .../html/modules/xoopsheadline/index.php on line 41
This is what I have on line 41:

$hlid = $headlines[0]->getVar('headline_id');

What should it be??

NOW says: $hlid = ->getVar('headline_id');
I'm guessing we need to change the value for $headlines[0].
But I'm not brave enough to try it on my own.

adding a newsfeed to Headlines mod crashes my site

I'm using fresh install of XOOPS and 7dana-soft theme. I'd like to get the headlines going on my site. I added my first one tonight from yahoo (http://rss.news.yahoo.com/rss/topstories). My site disappeared from view until I deleted it. I have searched this site for some insight but haven't found what I need. I guess this means I don't know what I'm doing... Any suggestions?

I just wrestled with this issue today. Here is how I solved my problem... be warned this is probably not the easiest way, but nothing else I tried worked...
I sized some pics to 138x130 pixels and put them in a folder named "images1". I then uploaded my folder to the XOOPS directory folder that contains 'modules', 'kernel', 'cache',etc.( I assume your XOOPS root) Now I entered images1 for 'minical images" field (click agendax>admin>minical image). Hope this helps.
If any one has an easier way please share!

OK I got help from wjue. He graciously explained the following: "there is a config variable $mc_sponsor in "config.inc.php" file. Change it's value to what you want."

The answer to both is yes. However, I did not try to use it while in the default theme. So, I'll have to try that. Why did you ask about the Zaja theme? I have the Zaga-green theme in particular. It is turned of right now. I am not allowing users to change themes so I'm sure it is not used.

Hi svaha. I am using Agenda-X v2.0.1. It is a fresh install. Don't know what else to do ... guess I'll just enter the dates manually for now.

BTW COOL hat.
