When I try to add a new event the date selection tool does not work. I can add events by changing the date by hand. Has anyone seen this happen? Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks!

NO, I had no problems with 2 Beta, 2 and also not with 2.1
Just click on the date I want in the date selector and close the date selector.
So would/could you be a little more specific. What do you or don't you see? and so on

The add event screen comes up just fine and looks normal as far as I can tell. To the right of the date entry box there is a button with three periods in it - and the statement about using the date selector. When I click the button that I assume is the date selector it just returns me to the add event screen without any of the field entries I have already made. No pop up calendars, or anything that lets me "select" the date.

My problem is a little different but related to the date selector again.

In Safari when the date selector popup appears if I mouse over a date the script in the bottom of the popup doesn't show a date but a whole load of what appears to be repeating javascript.

I have written about this before but received no response. Search for the AgendaX FINAL release and my full report was there.

Yes, that could be the problem. I use IE6 and like I said before no problems.
So maybe you can try first with IE to see if the date selector shows up

It does not show up. Furthermore, I went to your site and looked at your calendar and saw the date popup. So I know my browser will work. I am wondering if my directory or file permissions are incorrect.

The problem could come from your theme, try a standard theme

That is the issue, thanks. So now the next question, any idea what in the themes would break that functionality?

Last night I read this in the readme file of agendax
Quote:
Make sure that your main XOOPS theme file (theme.html) has the $xoops_module_header variable present between the <head> </head> tags.

That fixes the problem. I had read that too but forgot about it. Thanks for the help!
