you need to go into your ftp client navigate to public_html/templates_c select all and delete. then click refresh.

To set permissions. you would go into your admin panel and go to your groups section. In groups be sure that the groups you wish to be able to use the forums have MODULE ACCESS not admin. at the bottom hit submit. Note this is also the area you would set which blocks and other modules each user group can use. savvy?

xoopsgallery is nice, it allows you to set the permissions for each gallery without having to access your admin panel. I also like that users that are permitted to upload can put up multiple images in one swoop. It is a bit more complicated to use because of all the extra features, but i feel it is a nice tradeoff.

well if you cannot figure this out, you can always direct new users to a locked forum where you give them a breakdown of their options and links to the alumni registration.

inside of the module, through the admin panel there is a preference called "permissions" click that. you have three choices to make "submit, approve, and view" you have to configure these options before you are able to administrate the module

you would need to go into phpmyadmin and backup your newbb tables. specifically you would want to backup you newbb_topics, newbb_categories, and newbb_posts tables. Then delets all of your newbb tables. uninstall your module. Install your new forums module. The one at a time inject your old tables into the new ones. this should restore your entire forum layout with categories topics and posts.

so you want it to be on its own page? ok you can install like tinycontent and do a pagewrap. basically it will throw your script up inside the framework of your site.

Ya it is very hard to tell what you have done to the theme as far as those tables are concerned. And I do agree with your comments about manipulating the overall structure or deviating from the "normal" layout. Obviously I need to state again that I am not trying to offend you in any way.

As far as what I have done with the montis themes, I have been working for xhtml compliance as of late. I am in no way a pro coder, but i am getting pretty good at it. at this point i have knocked out about half of the core errors in the theme. By the time I finish I will submit the theme as a revision, then start working on my own themes. Perhaps at that point it could be you making suggestions on my themes.

I just feel that you have done enough themes and contributed enough to the community to know what is best for your overall design. I was just trying to make suggestions to possibly help your sales. Since the HL2 variations are difficult to detect There really was no way for me to know the difference simply by looking at the demo.
