I made a mistake when I said that I haven't upgraded any modules. I have upgraded the News Module. Could this be causing the conflict, and how can I fix it?

I had Recette successfully installed on my web site and it suddenly disappeared. This is the message I get:

Fatal error: Cannot redeclare class newsstory in /home/epicure1/public_html/modules/news/class/class.newsstory.php on line 31
Notice [PHP]: Undefined index: query in file modules/statistics/include/hitcounter.php line 64
Notice [PHP]: Undefined index: fragment in file modules/statistics/include/hitcounter.php line 68

Would anyone be able to tell me how to straighten this out? I would have checked on the module creator's site, but my skills at French are nonexistent.

I should've gotten back earlier with this response:

Changing session expire wasn't the problem. It was already set. This problem occurs off and on for all of my sites. I haven't tried the newest XOOPS upgrade yet. I'm waiting to see what happens to other users first.

You mean that you can actually UPLOAD files with debaser?!?!?!? It has NEVER worked for me or my users. IMO, the only consistently working feature is the internet radio.

Thanks for getting back to me.

Sorry, should have been a heck of a lot more precise.

Actually, it isn't the log-in menu itself. People can log in using the Log-in block, which should disappear once you've logged in.

What I meant to ask is: Does anyone know what would prevent the User Menu from appearing on certain themes once a user is logged in? It's set to be visible to Registered Users and Webmasters in the Admin area.

LazyBadger is 100% right. MyReviews has done a lot of good for me on a few sites, is easy to work with and pretty flexible.

Newbbex: Posts Exist, Forum Empty

This is kind of complicated, but here goes:

I'm using newbbbex version 1.2. and the latest stable version of XOOPS, which I upgraded recently.

My message board has about 2 dozen posts on it which "seem" to have disappeared since the XOOPS upgrade.

All of the posts are still accessible from all of the newbbex blocks (Recent Topics, Most Active, etc.).

When a user goes directly to the Message Board page, everything looks perfect - forums are all there with the number of posts and the number of views. But......

As soon as you choose a forum to read, you're taken to the correct page, but there are no posts to read.

I've updated the modules, synched topics/categories, clicked each Recent Topic link just in case, prayed to God, kissed the Quran, studied the Kabala, and threw salt over my shoulder, but nothing seems to work.

This seems to be an isolated incident, so far. Has anyone experienced this or have any solution?

Thanks

Thanks, I'll give it a shot. BTW that's a nice site you're running. I had to do a double take when I saw the administrator's avatar. I maintain a lot of sites and use the same one on all of them. For a minute, I thought I was going crazy and looking at a site I didn't know I made! LOL Think I need a drink
