I am currently suffering exactly the same problems and they also keep coming and going without me changing anything.
Does anybody have any ideas as too what may be causing this please?
For reference my hosts are WWW.UKHOST4U.CO.UK

Edit: The menu on the first page is always there, it's only when you click to access a module (any module) the menu goes away and clicking on smartfaq, the screen goes blank. There are no PHP errors when running debug and the same with MYSQL, no errors there either
Smartfaq does work fine without any errors when this main error is not happening.

I lookt several hours into the code and found that the XP-Weather module assumes that you have the register_globals option of php turned on (I had it turned off). I changed the option from 'Off' to 'On' and I was able to change the station.

Hi all,
Does anybody know of a way to get xcGallery to display the description of an image as the page title instead of just the normal XOOPS page title.
I would like this facility to assist in getting pages listed within my gallery ranked on google because the content of my gallery is quite diverse and I could do with getting a little more information into the search engines,

Check what version of PHP your hosting company are running. Xoopsgallery does not work with PHP 5.x.x
if you are running an older version of PHP then everything should work fine, I would guess first of all to check you have to folder permissions set correctly.

I dont think this is what you wanted to hear but when my host's upgraded to PHP5 it killed my site but then I upgraded to the latest version of XOOPS and that fixed the main core of Xoops, however you may find that a few modules will still fail to function and they would require an upgrade as well if they are available.

These guys wont rest. They have used the contact us form on my site and left 4 entries in my guestbook which where promptly removed.
Looks like they will be around for a while looking at the way they are spamming people at the moment.
IP ban already in action for these.
