I'm sure there's better ways of doing it - but this is what it do.

If I hack a core page I make a zip file, put the page in it and include a text file referencing what I did and why. It makes it easier for me to recall changes that way rather than just commenting a line in the php file.

My DB backups are too large for PHPMyAdmin anymore so I have resorted to using Big Dump. I backup my DB daily and just save it with the date as the file name. I keep 3 days at a time and just rotate the oldest one out as the new one comes in.

I keep a copy of the theme folder (zipped) I'm currently using too and add the changes as I do them.

After that, i put everything on CD (sucks to have a hard drive fail) and wa la!

I like it - but more important, it appears your members are enjoying it!

I see activity through out your site and isnt that what you have the site for?

Given the above, I would say you've done well!

You might look here -

I don't know if it was fixed with 1.43 or anything to about X2.2 - but in 1.42 this was the problem I was having with that block.

The only thing that pops to mind....

Instead of restricting the module (IPB) via groups, why not restrict the IBP Forum categories (via the IPB admin) by group?

The IPB PM's has a huge advantage over the XOOPS one as it has a quota system. No more out of control PM tables! It will even delete the PM's when you delete a user

The first thing to note as it is a standalone package rather than an integrated module but uses a bridging module in coppermine to integrate the user accounts from xoops.

Where the hell have I been? That's great news!! I didn't know they had a bridge!

Thanks so much for the info - off to d/l it and give it a try.
