Go to System/Preferences/User Info Settings, and set Maximum length of username to more than the default 10.

what good will that do?

maximum length should actually prevent you from typing more than 10 characters, it should never truncate what you type, that is the whole point of maximum length. is that how password works too? if i type too many characters does it truncate the password? if so then how would i know what my password is because it has been truncated.

seems maximum length is not being used correctly in this case.

you would need javascript for that, inserted in the theme.

google is the key to finding a script to do that.

but why bother? right click can be circumvented if you know how, and also if someone really wants an image, they just use an image grabber or take a screenshot. really there is no protection against copying images, the watermark is good, because it's an annoyance, but to prevent it fully you just can't do it..

or PHP is running in CGI mode. in which case you can't use php flags in .htaccess you have to create a php.ini file instead.

this is discussed many times on this site if you search

and skoda cars are generated by volkswagon.

ferrari are generated by scuderia

but you don't call them volkswagon or scuderia do you?

i agree the idea of allowing them to be moved is good. but don't confuse users by telling them that smarty_templates are cache files, because they are not cache. you are supposed to be making things more user friendly, a start on that regard would be to not confuse people and make people think that smarty compiled templates are cache files. maybe long time XOOPS users will know this, but what about the newbies that start looking through the code, like myself.

also why are you adding new features to an RC release?

this is not good practice, and i myself would not consider this to be an RC version because you have added new features.

please follow consistent procedures. add new features at the alpha stage, bug test in beta stage or at very latest add new features in beta stage. but NEVER add them to an RC release.

yes and what?

therefore templates_c does not belong in a cache folder.

i will rephrase that.

templates_c is not a cache folder, so why is it being placed inside a cache folder?

since when has templates_c been a cache folder?

templates_c is the smarty compiled templates folder. hence templates_c for templates_compiled.

therefore templates_c does not belong in a cache folder.

i'm pretty sure vaughan @ smartfactory did something with wfdownloads to allow users to see downloads, but not actually download them. it might be in the preferences of wfdownloads. if not then there is definitely a hack somewhere with instructions of how to do it on the smartfactory website.

i think you need to remove 1 or 2 lines from a couple of files, and then add a couple of lines to visit.php instead.
