Thanks all for the help. Unfortunately, no success so far.
The 403 error is gone, just forgot to go to the correct subdomain (stupid... that's what you get when working on something too long).
I'm just getting a blank page now when going to the site.

The site was supposed to move to Strato but due to their lack of co-operation I decided on Antagonist. I like their setup, just need to get things working now

Thanks for the suggestion.
I'm one step further now by (renaming the index.html (always cautious with deleting files) and get a 403 error (not having the rights to access).
As the domain transfer is still being dealt with, is it possible this generates the error?

Hi all,

Some time ago I setup an intranet site using Xoops. With my current hosting provider going bankrupt, I am in the process of moving the site to a new hosting provider. Problem however is that I don't get the site up-and-running again.

I've managed to export the database tables and import them (including all the data) at the new provider. I have uploaded all the files and edited the mainfile.php to include the information of my new hosting provider. Still it does not work. I don't even get an error, just a : "this domain name has been registered but nothing is on it yet" or something like that.
Any idea's what else needs to be done before I can see the site up again? As it's an intranet site, there is luckily not so much traffic going on this time of the year but still....

Thanks for the help!

It is indeed information not to be shared at all so I believe Yoghurt is not the module for this.

My user base consist mainly of people that lack computer skills. Besides the Intranet, there is no good way for them to share information but at the same time, they would like to be able to put some info on it (like links to other websites, addresses, etc.) that are important for them but not for others (can be about their client base for instance). As they don't have too many computer skills, they would like to be able to do everything from within the Intranet site.
Hope this makes sense

Hi,

I'm running the latest XOOPS version (2.18.2) as an Intranet site for a franchise organisation. The site is closed so everyone has to log on before being able to see news, use the forum, etc.

The users (100+) have now requested that they have some kind of personal page on the Intranet where they can store information that is only be visible for themselves. Does anyone have any idea how to do that?

Tanks for the help,
Marieke

Hi,

I'm using xoopspolls v1.1 and keep on having the same issue:
I start a poll, fill out everything than, when I want to submit it to be placed on the site I get the following error:

_XOBJ_ERR_SHORTERTHAN

I can't find what is going wrong and where it goes wrong. It seems that somewhere there is a definition about a length of something, but what and where? I don't use all the options available in the poll, just have 5 possibilities for users to choose from.

I'm using XOOPS 2.0.18.2, PHP 4.4.7 (my provider does not yet allow me to use PHP 5) and MySQL 5.0.24

If there's anyone that can help me, I really would appreciate it!

And after hour and hours of searching I finally found the answer to the problem:

I had set the default permissions template and applied that. The default permissions template however is only for the forums, not the categories. I have now set the permissions for the categories via the category access option and its working.

Sorry for wasting anyone's time

Sorry, the correct message they get is:
You don't have the right to access this forum
