Edit: I already managed to load the DB file.

I couldn't find any xmail entries in my sql databes.
There is a module entry, but pressing on it didn't give me any sub entries.
I also saw some other modules entries, so I thougt it should have been at the same "folder".
So I have deleted the whole public html and copied some backup I had.
Of course the modules are still there, so what I need to do now is to restore a .gzp backup file I have saved using XOOPS DB backup & restore.
How do I restore this file?
When I select restore from the backup module, I don't see any files to select in the drop down menu. (Of course I copied the backup file into the backup folder).
How do overwrite my backuped database?
I believe the best solution in these cases is to go back to your backup, so I better learn how to use this backup feature.
Please help me out. :)

Yes there is a xoops_version.php file.
Is there a way to recover?
If I have some older DBBackup file, will it fix this?
I am using XOOPS DB Backup & restore, but I dont know how to load the gzp file.
In the info or credits I get:
"Module File for Not Found"

I have uploaded the file and it still doesn't work.
If I press the information button it says file not found.
The problem is that I have the module installed twice.

I have copied XMail to my module folder.
I pressed the install icon, but it didn't install well.
So I pressed again, and it again didn't installed well.
So I have 2 badly installed modules of XMail.
I have delete the XMail folder from modules.
Then I pressed uninstall but I get: "There is a problem with the page you are trying to reach and it cannot be displayed."

What should I do?

I am trying to edit a theme, but it doesn't matter whatever changes I make into theme.html, it doesn't affect the web site.
I try to comment the whole theme.html body, or add some text after the body tag. But I don't see anything.
I didn't set caching in the system preferences.
What am I doing wrong?

I have read the whole "Starting a new XOOPS site" thread, and it was very informative and helpful.
However, I still don't understand how am I suppose to create my own "custom" content.
Maybe I will start off by describing what sort of website I want to create.
I want to create a simple website about a game.
Registration is not allowed in this website.
First, I want the layout design of the website.
I want that on top there will be a horizental meny, with some images in it or around it.
How do I create such a menu and the graphics sorrounding it?
Do I need to download a module for it?
Do I need to change the block template code of the main menu block in the system module?
Do I need to create a theme for it?
Now, lets say I want to create a download page which can be selected in the main menu.
I beleive this page needs to be a module, but I think it needs to be a custom module.
I was able to create my own module which simply present an HTML content, I read it somewhere.
Why I say this?
Because I will want both downloads, both some text to explain about downloads, and both comments about the downloads.
How do I achieve this? Is there a module that do all that?
Or do I need to create a module of an HTML, and inside the HTML it will be possible to present sub modules some how?

As you can see I am clueless about how to create the content for my site.
I would appreciate if you give me some directions or links to where I can learn how to make my very simple website.

Thank you.

I have installed xoopsinfo, and on editors I see the following:
Red:
HtmlArea editor
FCK Editor
Koivi Editor
Spaw
TinyEditor
Inbetween

Green:
DHTML
Compact
XoopsEditors Framework - Koivi Editor
XoopsEditors Framework - dhtmltextarea
XoopsEditors Framework - textarea
XoopsEditors Framework - FCKeditor
XoopsEditors Framework - tinymce
XoopsEditors Framework - dhtmlext

Can you tell from this if I installed the frame work properly and XoopsEditor properly?

Ok, I tried the system module?
I just installed it because it was said in the "build your XOOPS site" guide said so.
So for now I have no way to check if I installed it properly?
Also, is there no way to tell if the frameworks are installed properly?

I am unable to install xoopseditor.
I did what I understood from the installation instruction, but I don't notice anything has changed in my XOOPS site control panel.
Here is what I did:

"2 upload /xoopseditor/ to /XOOPS/class/ => /XOOPS/class/xoopseditor/:
XOOPS/class/xoopseditor/dhtmlext
XOOPS/class/xoopseditor/dhtmltextarea
XOOPS/class/xoopseditor/FCKeditor
XOOPS/class/xoopseditor/koivi
XOOPS/class/xoopseditor/textarea
XOOPS/class/xoopseditor/tinymce
"
Did it.
"3.1 ./dhtmlext(all editors)/language/: make your local langauge file based on english.php
3.3 ./dhtmlext(all editors)/editor_registry.php: set configurations for the editor: order - display order in case editor selection is used, 0 for disabled; nohtml - works for non-html syntax
"
Not sure what am I suppos to do here, so I did nothing.
"3.3 ./FCKeditor/module/: copy the files to the modules folders in case module specific upload permissions, storage and editor options are required
"
Did that.

"
3.3.2 ./FCKeditor/module/fckeditor.connector.php: to specify the folder for file browsing (and uploading storage) => XOOPS/uploads/XOOPS_FCK_FOLDER/, the folder is required to create manually
3.3.3 ./FCKeditor/module/fckeditor.upload.php: specify upload permission and uploading storage
3.4 XOOPS/uploads/fckeditor/: to create the folder if FCKeditor is enabled, used for uploads from where the upload folder is not specified
3.5 ./tinymce/jscripts/: download your local language files fromhttp://tinymce.moxiecode.com/language.php
"
I try to do those things, but I think I failed miserablly, so I am not sure what I should do here.

I would appreciate help.
