if I can get my host to let me back into the site I will take a look at it and set it to 0 to see if that helps.

Well the site I put togther for one of my hosting acounts got shut down by the server I lease from cause it said that the register.php file in XOOPS was using 12% of the ram and along with some other files a total of 49.23% of ram for the server was being used by the site. Well I have never had this happen before so is it all XOOPS fault or what? if so how can I fix this?

I am thrid party in this issue and am trying to help the person whos site I have set up with XOOPS to figure it out. She has relayed the info to me (and since I am the host etc...) I figure I see what I can do.

this is what she said to me:

Why didnt all this emails got to the people?

I´ve been getting mails from people complaining they cant register, like the site tells tem that it can not be a new member registered or somehting like that, others didnt get activation email, and some other that created the account cant enter the dowloads section I dont understand all of this cause I registred a new account to try it out with no problem

*************************************************

Now before the site went live both she and I registered with the site and I did so using different email address. I also have logged in using different browsers etc.. and have had no problem. The only problem I did have was when I tried to register with my hotmail account I never got the confirm email but I suspect that is a hotmail issue and not the site.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That is what I thought myself and wanted to confirm it. I don't allow uploads to the site so I am thinking either this guy/girl had it before or it was in one of the original .zip files for the downloads that I got from the person who site it is.

I am still waiting to hear back from her and I will keep you updated with the name etc.. as I am really interested in finding out exatcly what is going on.

Did you use the wysiwyg editor in tinycontent? Perhaps this is the one who adds the slashes. Please deactivate the wysiwyg editor in this case. Copy the code again and see what happens ...

ok, did that and now it works, thanx.

As you use only html, escaping the " with a \ is not needed in your html tags. So if you write correct html your links should work as expected.

Um, yeah I didn't put those slashes in there as I stated I put in straight html but after I did that a clicked save and went bak to edit it the module had put all the slashes in it not me.

I just used the add content and wrote some html here is what I put in. It is just some links:
=============================
<br \><br \>

<div align=\"center\">

<table cellpadding=\"0\" border=\"0\">
<tr><td width=\"100\" align="center">

<img src="http://www.prettybrush.sublevel28.com/x/pics/tutorials.gif">
<br \><br \><br \><br \>
</td></tr></table>

<table cellpadding=\"0\" border=\"0\">
<tr><td width=\"10\">
</td><td width="100">
<a href=\"http://www.prettybrush.sublevel28.com/tutorials/gothic/index.html\"target=\"_blank\">
Gothic Tutorial</a>
<br><br>

<a href=\"http://www.prettybrush.sublevel28.com/tutorials/brush/index.html">
Brushes Tutorial</a>
<br><br>

<a href=\"http://www.prettybrush.sublevel28.com/tutorials/back/index.html\" target=\"_blank\">
Removing Background</a>
<br><br>

</td></tr></table>

</div>

=============================================

When I click on of the links I get this error :

Not Found
The requested URL /x/modules/tinycontent/\"http://www.prettybrush.sublevel28.com/x/tutorials/gothic/index.html\"target=\"_blank\" was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
=================================

I am having a feeling that is the forward slashes that the modules is putting into the html code. Although I am really not sure. All the links are correct I know that.

I am trying get TinyContent-Duplicatable to have a page with a set of links but for some reason they won't link out. I keep getting 404 errors when I know the links are right.

You can see what I mean here :

htp://www.prettybrush.sublevel28.com/x/

it is under tutorials.

is there away to fix this?
