I have the anti-leech setup so people don't steal etc.. but people who try to setup links don't know the site has this and innocent stupid people follow the links and get thet lovey "Hey stop that" from XOOPS and logs their IP. my question is how do I make it so that people who just didn't know can still download? They have gone to the site the right way after getting the message and say now that they can not download.

ok, so if someone accidentally follows the link and their IP gets log how do I enable them to still be able to download brushes? People who have followed a leeched link but didn't know then try to download the right way don't seem to be able to do so.

Among all my problems with this site that I have setup for a friend another one has popped up that has be stumped.

The girl who site it is says people are reporting getting this message/slash error when trying to get something from the "mydownloads" section fo the site.

===================================

"This file doesn't belong to the site you came from

Please e-mail the webmaster of the site you came from and tell him:
NOT TO LEECH OTHER SITES LINKS!!

Definition of a Leecher: One who is to lazy to link from his own server or steals
other peoples hard work and makes it look like his own Your IP address has been logged.
If the page does not automatically reload, please click here"

====================================

Now I have the anti-leech feature one cause that was aproblem before with the old site and why I setup XOOPS for her but this is coming to people why they are in the site trying to download for what I understand so they should not be getting this error/message.

Well I am having registration issue with my site and I don't know why. More than half say they have no problem while others try repeatedly to register but can't seem to do so. Is their problem or a problem with the way XOOPS is configured?

I really need help cause the gilr who site it is (and I host) is bugged by this and contacting me a lot about it.

I am running:

XOOPS 2.0.5.2

and have the activation feature off.

yes, but not to all my server just to this one site they closed it / blocked it. They are trying to tell me that any script that gets a lot of traffic can cause damage but they also have pictures listed as being top consumers of ram and I am like picture?? how can a picture use 10% of ram/ cpu usage?

As for your question no I am not running any hacks and yes I have thrid party modules installed , mydownloads, laise, Narga's Guestbook, mylinks, and I think a contact form module but not sure.

I am not runing the lastest version but the one previous to that I think I am not 100% though.

I am using module cache for some like mydownloads and mylinks and I think the guestbook.

I can't rememebr if I am using gzip or not and the PHP version is 4.3.7.

The users I know are a lot (it is a very popular site) but not sure on number I would have to check with the girl who site it is.

As for my resources I am a reseller (a small one) but I have a 2GB of space and 50MB of bandwidth for my account and all come with their own cpanel etc.. you know the deal.
