When I try to access the manual it says that it is a restricted access page.

Thanks! I made the modifications and got the latest version and it is now operable!

At first, when I used any theme except the default theme none of the content showed up. It had the menu block and the list block but they were empty. Then, suddenly, as I sat down to prepare this message, the items in those two blocks started showing on the various themes. Oh well... it seems to work for now.

You won't be able to set the default profile, yet, but the next 3 options can be set - I usually set them all to 'Yes'. Leave the last 4 options for now, you can come back to them later. Click the Go! button to save your settings.

Go to the public area of your site and click on the Wiwi link in the main menu. You should see an Edit button below the content of the page - click it and the page will open in edit mode. Type in the text area, make changes, and click the Preview button at the bottom of the page. Once you are satisfied, click on the New Revision button at the bottom of the page - this will save a new copy and make it the one displayed. Later, you can view history and restore the original version if you would like.

skenow,
I have set the editors as you said. There was no place for default profile unless it doesn't show up till later.

When I go to the main page and click on the Wiwi link in the main menu, I do get the default page with an "Edit" button at the bottom. But when I click on the "Edit" button, the page flashes and just returns to the same content page. I never get any text area to make changes. That has been my frustration. I thought I should get a text area or something. But nothing ever allows me to do that.

Here are some links to some screen shots from the setup.

Wiwi Module Configuration screen
Wiwi Default Page with Edit Button that doesn't seem to work

So now what?

Thanks

How Do I Edit a Page in Wiwi?

I have installed Wiwi 0.86.

I'm using:
xoops 2.0.16
Apache 2.2
mysql 5.0.27-community-nt

The default page shows up, but I don't seem to be able to edit the page. I've tried accessing it from the "Pages" tab in the Module Admin functions. If I click on the Page ID Name or on History or anything else, nothing seems to happen. If I leave the administration mode and go directly to the page, I don't seem to have any edit options there. Sometimes and "update" button will show up but I can't seem to do anything that allows a change. If I click on the "update" button, nothing seems to happen.

Any thoughts or ideas?

Since I've never seen this module actually function, I don't even have a clue as to what it should look like when it is operating properly.

Thanks!

I've installed Pico 1.0 and I'm using:
xoops 2.0.16
Apache 2.2
mysql 5.0.27-community-nt

I can't figure out how/where to add any content. When I go to the Modules administration and select Pico, I get a page that has these tabs:

Contents list | Permissions of Categories | Import/Sync | Preferences |

But when I click on "Contensts list", "Permissions of Categories", or "Import/Sync", nothing seems to happen. I simply have a blank page with the tabs at the top. If I click on "Preferences" I do get the preferences page.

I'm at a total loss as to what to do or if I've done something wrong, or how to add any content and have no idea where to turn to figure this out.

Any guidance/thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure what the issue is, but I don't seem to have any editor function. I installed the editor package 1.01 and believe I followed the instructions.

I'm using:
xoops 2.0.16
Apache 2.2
mysql 5.0.27-community-nt

I've got the following modules installed and working:
system ver. 1.02
xoops db backup and restore 3.00
xoops info 2.12
protector 3.01
Wiwimod 0.8.3

But I cannot seem to be able to do any page editing in wiwimod. I've tried several of the editors listed in preferences.

If I click on the editors tab in XOOPS info 2.12 it tells me that Compact and DHTML are "Editor OK" But for FCKeditor and koivi it tells me "Module not installed - File found : class/... " For the other editors listed in XOOPS info it tells me that the file was not found.

Any insight into what I'm doing wrong?

Thanks!

Steve,
My mysql.sql file looked exactly like the segment you posted.

When I got rid of the default "" the installation seemed to proceed although there was one error. The process said that the module was installed.

The module seems to function and I can get the blocks to show up on my site.

Now I'm having issues with editing. Maybe I just don't understand but I have installed the XOOPS editors package. It is my understanding that I should be able to edit the wiwi pages directly and then when I update, the changes should be saved. But I can't seem to get it to allow me to make any changes. It as if I don't have an editor. Maybe I just don't understand the editor installation / function or how to activate the editors.

I'm trying to install Wiwimod 0.8.3
I'm running XOOPS 2.0.16
Apache 2.2
mysql 5.0.27-community-nt

I've got the following modules installed and working:
system ver. 1.02
xoops db backup and restore 3.00
xoops info 2.12
protector 3.01

In some of my searches I've found a similar error that refers to this potentially being something to do with MySQL version 5. A similar error was mentioned in this thread about MySQLhttp://bugs.mysql.com/bug.php?id=24276

I'm at a total loss as to how to proceed though.

Any thoughts? I'm trying to work day by day through your S"tarting a New XOOPS Site thread." skenow.

Thanks!

I'm trying to install Wiwimod as the suggested wiki by skenow in his Starting a New XOOPS Site thread. I'm using Apache/2.2.4 (Win32) PHP/5.2.1 and MySQL version 5.0.27-community-nt. When I try to install the Wiwimod module the installation fails and I get an error that says:

Installing Wiwi

BLOB/TEXT column 'body' can't have a default value

Unable to install wiwimod. Error(s):

-------------------

Anyone have a idea to solve this issue?

Thanks!
