If you would like to insert your own quotes you could use the Random Quote module.

You could also use XHLD or XOOPS Planet to use a "This day in history" RSS feed if that is what you are looking for.

Check your mail settings in Admin/Preferences. See what mail delivery method you are using. You might try the other options. Search the FAQ's also, I'm sure it's been asked before. Hope that helps some.

Set your MAIN and USER blocks to "Visible" then set your group permissions for anonymous and registered users as you like. The login block will only be visible to anonymous users while the user menu will only be visible to registered users.
