Quick question about the banner that they require.. Is it a standard 468x60 banner or is it smaller?

Can the hosted sites place their own banners on their website?
I didn't have time to read through their faq section..

Thanks for all the responses.. I just wanted to know if this was "ok" so I wouldn't be accused of trying to steal someone else's code..

I don't want to remove the credits from the modules like Agenda-X which shows

(Agenda-X v2.0FINAL by wjue(Wang Jue) & guanxiCRM.com) at the bottom for any malicious reasons, but more for my feeble atempts to design the page to look better.

Besides, I don't see how that would be remotely possible because I don't have the php, MySQL skills to create something this cool.

Does this go for most if not all of the third party modules?

I would prefer instead to have a separate page using wfchannel and listing all the credits there.

Like.. Powered by XOOPS. Theme by: xxx, etc.

Can someone create a copy of the Clean theme for geeklog for XOOPS?

If you go to the geeklog webiste and choose "Clean" under the Theme Tester, you can preview it.

Can I use the backup feature in cPanel and download the XOOPS files from the old server (keeping directory structure intact), and move them to the new server (keeping directory structure intact)?

Is there anything else I have to do? I really don't want to start all over again.. with a fresh installation.

It seems that all of my database file has been deleted somehow. I've been having some problems with the hosting company.

Is there anyway to generate a new sql file to retreive the current settings without having to upload the old (original) sql file? So i don't lose all the messages, general settings etc.? This would really suck if I had to start all over again.

Thanks.

I tried about using phpAdsNew.. (not this ported module, but the regular one), but I didn't have any luck with it, . Also, I think it's pretty complicated for the average user, which I would classify myself as.

This link doesn't work.. Has the file been removed from the downloads section?

I wanted to know if it would take too much time/effort to include something a channel or zone where different types of ads could be placed. I think this feature would work best as part of the core package of XOOPS, instead of using a module.

It would be nice to be able to include a "zone" or "channel" where other ad formats aside from the standard 468x60 could be placed.

For example a 300 x 250 Medium Rectangle ad. I saw a good example of this while reading some sstuff on Slashdot.org.

If you read some articles, you will see a rectangular advertisement which is embeded into the story content page.

These "zones" or "channels" could be powered by our own ads that we upload to a folder, or the source of the ads could be one of the many ad servers like Fastclick, Advertising.com, etc or some similar service.

Also, it should be pretty easy to setup more than one zone or channel, for different sizes, placements, etc.

AK
