It seems that all of my database file has been deleted somehow. I've been having some problems with the hosting company.

Is there anyway to generate a new sql file to retreive the current settings without having to upload the old (original) sql file? So i don't lose all the messages, general settings etc.? This would really suck if I had to start all over again.

Thanks.

retrieve current settings from where? You say your database file has been deleted.

Frequent backups is the way to go, it seems.
