For the workaround to this problem, other than activating accounts automatically, please see this link :

This was originally recorded under 2.0 Bugs, however it is still a problem in 2.2.1.

Thanks

I thought this may be resolved in 2.2.1, however it appears after testing that it is still an issue.

I will have to implement my workaround again.

Many Thanks

Thanks Mithrandir - that sorted it, I wonder, should I also then update the PM and Profile Modules as they have both changed ?

Ill do it just in case :)

Many Thanks again.

Annie,

In the FLASHCHAT documentation there is an easy to follow procedure to integrate it with XOOPS. I have followed it on a couple of occassions with no problems.

Good Luck..!

Some do, some dont :) I just bung them on and try them - I know the Smartfactory mods really arent happy on 2.2 at the moment.

Most of the old modules do work though.

Me and my collegue put together our own menus using a custom block.

<table cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" border="0">
<
tr>
<
td><a href="{X_SITEURL}"><p style="margin-left: 6px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 3px;">Home</p></a></td>
</
tr>
<
tr>
<
td>
<
img src="{X_SITEURL}themes/eq2theme/bgline.gif">
</
td>
</
tr>
<
tr>
<
td><a href="{X_SITEURL}modules/pm/"><p style="margin-left: 6px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">Private Messaging</p></a></td>
</
tr>
<
tr>
<
td>
<
img src="{X_SITEURL}themes/bgline.gif">
</
td>
</
tr>
</
tr>
<
tr>
<
td><a href="{X_SITEURL}modules/profile/"><p style="margin-left: 6px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;">My Profile</p></a></td>
</
tr>
<
tr>
<
td>
<
img src="{X_SITEURL}themes/bgline.gif">
</
td>
</
tr>
</
tr>
<
tr>
<
td><p style="margin-left: 6px; margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"><form style="margin-top: 0px; margin-bottom: 0px;" action="{X_SITEURL}search.php" method="get">
<
input type="text" name="query" class="search" size="10"/><input type="hidden" name="action" value="results" /> <input class="button" type="submit" value="Go!" name="searchSubmit" style="margin-bottom: 0px; margin-top: 0px;"  />
</
form></p></td>
</
tr>
</
table>

This allows us to break it up, and make multiple custom menus. The bgline.gif is a short line graphic, just to seperate the items.

I did have this issue, however i edited all the profiles of the users to include the REAL NAME field, as this is what the news module picks up on.

I had this problem too - to work around it I modified the /modules/profile/language/english/mail_template/register.tpl file.

Look for the {X_UACTLINK} line, and enterhttp://yoursite.com in front of this :

http://www.yoursite.com{X_UACTLINK}

This is working now - although i do get an odd referring message as the constant appears to be undefined, but the account does activate properly.

This should tide us over until there is a fix... or proper suggestion.
