Moved xoops... lost admin rights

Hi,

I moved my XOOPS application and the corresponding database to a new server. Everything works fine. The only thing I suddenly realized, that I couldn't log-in anymore as admin. Although the system recognizes me ("Thank you for logging in XXX"), there is no admin menu displaying. Thus I can't access my module administration area anymore.

Any idea why this is?

Thanks for any help.

Re: Wfdownloads - No thumbail production

The option: "WF-Section will use thumb nails for images. Set to 'No' to use orginal image if the server does not support this option." looks promising. But what does it mean "if the server does (not) support this option"? I guess it is related to some GD lib compilation issue, or so?

Wfdownloads - No thumbail production

Hi,

I just discovered that, when using the wfdownloads module, my screenshots of uploaded documents are displayed in full resolution, but screezed by indicating small width and height parameters on my pages. That means although only displayed as 150px/300px in width/height, the image in complete resolution will be loaded, which is really not good.

I saw that there is some kind of thumbnail entry in the preferences. But a) I am not too sure about what it means and b) it doesn't seem to change anything if I set them to No or YES.

Could anyone help?

Thanks a lot.

wfdownloads - category needed?

Hi,

as I have only one category for the wfdownloads module, I would like to skip the page where the user has to select the category. Obviously, this option isn't needed. But is there a way to do that?

Thanks for any hints.

Re: wfdownloads - doc thumbnail on homepage

Here is the solution:

in wfdownloads_block_new.html the command
<img src="<{$download.screenshot}>" />
must be added;

in wfdownloads_top.php the line
$download['screenshot'] = XOOPS_URL "/" $xoopsModuleConfig['screenshots'] . "/" $myrow['screenshot'];
must be added;

and the query must look like this:
$result $xoopsDB->query("SELECT lid, cid, title, date, hits, screenshot FROM ..."

Re: Welcome blocks

Hmm, thanks. I just tried it. Actually, it looks pretty nice. But if I am not mistaken the new module must appear in the Main Menu in order to set the correct permissions for anonymous users. That would mean that for one singel page, I would have to add an item into the menu, which is not really cool.

Welcome blocks

Hi,

I have a welcome block, which is displayed at the homepage. Now, I have some additional text (which would be just a single & simple HTML page), which should be reachable via a "... read more ..." link.

It seems that I can't get a second welcome block linked; they just display on the homepage or within defined modules.

I tried it with the mypage module, but here I can't change the user access rights, so that only registered users can access this page, but not anonymous users.

Any hints most welcome!

wfdownloads - doc thumbnail on homepage

Hi,

I would like to display the thumbnail (i.e. the cover) of my recently added document(s) on the homepage. I have a block there, displaying the titles. But it seems like being a bit more fancy coding to enable the thumbnal display then there too.

Thanks for any hints.

Different permissions on MyModule/MyPage

I created my own module with the <a href="https://xoops.org/modules/smartfaq/faq.php?faqid=280">FAQ</a>. But how can I add specific menu items corresponding to the user level, i.e. a submit item for registered users, no submit item for anonymous users?

Thanks for any hints.

Re: myAlbum-P Error uploading photo

Gush, I am shocked. Now that I put the max upload image size as high as I can (would be something like a GB), it works.... Very strange...
