new xoops install

I have admin many XOOPS sites in the past and have recently educated myself on some other cms systems of late.

I am currently running 2.0.18.1. with the default theme.

I like the new theme and modules used on the sitehttps://xoops.org. What XOOPS version and theme is it?

I'm interested in applying it to a couple new sites I'm working on.

Thanks for any advise.

Re: upgrade path from xoops 2.13

sweeeeet. patience is a vertue and I'm all for taking it to the next level. 2.4 is what I'm waiting for! Any guess when this will be released? Can't wait to deploy the latest [stable] version. Everything has growing pains and you have to expect leading ledge tech like XOOPS to have it eventualy.

side note: I just spent 3 days at the google headquarters at a MySQL gathering. The founder and leading engineers were there. Learned alot and plugged XOOPS whenever appropriate.

Re: upgrade path from xoops 2.13

Makin' headway. Looks like I'm running 2.2.3.

So, should I be waiting for the 2.4 upgrade to move forward? If so what is the time for this release?

This is very confusing and makes me question my decision to use xoops.

Regardless, XOOPS has been good to me and I'll stick with it until the bitter end.

Thanks to everyone who supports this project!

Re: upgrade path from xoops 2.13

I'm at a loss. I thought I had upgraded to the 2.2.x version at the beginning of the year. After reading about all the hype about the 2.2.x dead end I really want to get online with the future version.

To my suprise when I checked the version it looks like I'm running 2.13. This version is not reference anywhere.

Now I'm not sure if I'm running 2.0.x or 2.2.x

How can I find out the XOOPS version so I can upgrade accordingly.

Thanks, again

Re: upgrade path from xoops 2.13

is 2.13 the same as 2.0.13?

If so will I need to upgrade to 2.0.14 then to 2.0.15 and finally 2.0.16?

Or will 2.0.16 upgrade 2.13?

Re: Upgraded from 2.0.7.3 to 2.2.3

I've been using 2.2.3 for a while now and have visited the XOOPS site for some additional modules and upgrades. As I read, I find some discerning information about migrating back to 2.0.x. (downgarding).

Is this someting I need to consider to continue the upgrade path with xoops?

Please provide the most current information on this subject so i can make an educated decision.

I have enjoyed the 2.2.3 build and look forward to future improvements.

Any advise on upgrading/downgarding and sidestepping issues would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Gary

Re: Snoopy status=connection failed (13)

I upgraded to xhld 3.03 and am still having the error. I posted a message on the peak site in hopes GIJOE has time. Looks like they are working on alot of other things now.

I am forced to link to rss aggregators from my i-menu module. That should get me through for now.

Thanks for your help
