upgrade path from xoops 2.13

I've read alot regarding the 2.0 and 2.2 verson upgrades. I'm running 2.13 and would like to know which upgrade path to take to get current and on future 2.0.x path. Thanks

2.0.16 is the version to go for. Update instructions are included.

Going to 2.2.x would serve no purpose except you would need one of the features of that version. If no feature comes to mind ... you don´t need it



(as with any update whatsoever ... do a backup first)

Hmmm? XOOPS 2.13?

I don't think that version number is correct?

is 2.13 the same as 2.0.13?

If so will I need to upgrade to 2.0.14 then to 2.0.15 and finally 2.0.16?

Or will 2.0.16 upgrade 2.13?

As per the news notes for 2.0.16 - you can update from 2.0.7 (and above) to 2.0.16 without any other upgrades in between.

(So long as it's not from 2.2.x Xoops.. which is a bit more complicated)

remember to backup site & data first of course

I'm at a loss. I thought I had upgraded to the 2.2.x version at the beginning of the year. After reading about all the hype about the 2.2.x dead end I really want to get online with the future version.

To my suprise when I checked the version it looks like I'm running 2.13. This version is not reference anywhere.

Now I'm not sure if I'm running 2.0.x or 2.2.x

How can I find out the XOOPS version so I can upgrade accordingly.

your XOOPS version is in the footer of the admin page where it says Powered by XOOPS 2.0.16 © 2001-2006 The XOOPS Project

2.13 is the system module version (ie. it's a module)

or view the contents of include/version.php

Makin' headway. Looks like I'm running 2.2.3.

So, should I be waiting for the 2.4 upgrade to move forward? If so what is the time for this release?

This is very confusing and makes me question my decision to use xoops.

Regardless, XOOPS has been good to me and I'll stick with it until the bitter end.

if I were you I'd wait patiently for the fusion of everything with the coming of XOOPS 2.4

and if you really want to get into 2.0.16, I'd make a clean install and redo the site, not those 2.2 to 2.0 patching

the bitter endings for XOOPS seem have been left behind everything is just getting better
