Excellent Work
I have one problem in that my thumbnails are really grainy
I am using GED1 and set them at 100. I have been using Myalbum and thumbnails are fine. Looked at a few other user's sites and there thumbs look great.
Was hoping someone could tell me what I have set wrong, or could it be that I am still running Myalbum, while I trial XCGal.

Have restored it.
1st lesson learnt - backups are handy (only lost two forum posts)
2nd lesson learnt - know how to restore it. Was restoring database via Cpanel, but not running the script in phpmyadmin
3rd Lesson - put off upgrading - tried three times and never get it right.

Hi and help (please)
I was trying to upgrade to Newbb RC2 but things have gone bad.
After reading the instructions to remove the old newbb - I uninstalled it (I bet that was wrong)
Ran upgrade script 1_to 2, got a red flag on every step.
Then was unable to install newbb
I then
removed new newbb, restored old newbb and updated. Still have my site but no forum entries. Using Cpanel I then restored MySQL backup. It came up with a new name (the backup file name) At this stage I was getting the error line 34 page for my site
So I thought (never good when I think)delete old XOOPS DB and rename the uploaded backup to XOOPS (using phpadmin)
Now I have a DB that has the right name, user and password.
and a blank page.
I have checked and mainfile.php has the correct DB name
All of my XOOPS files and images are on server.
Could anyone please let me know what I can do to get my site back (apart from the obvious of dont keep trying to break it when you have no idea)

For those in australia - I have just started using Weatherzone
http://www.weatherzone.com.au/index.jsp
You can have either (or both) a box displaying the latest details from one area, or a Search by Place name/post code.
For detailed weather you are redircted to their site.
I am only using the "search box" as it doesnt take to long to download and provides everyone flexibility. Much prefer the users to be redirected as the weatherzone site has far more detail and its not using my bandwidth.

It could be something like the referer issue that can be caused between XOOPS and some firewalls (ie Norton). If the other computers that you use Norton - type in Norton or referer into search here and you can find a good description.

Two are in Myalbum (which I will hunt down) the last though I cannot find. Could someone point me in the right direction. (of course it is something I have played with because if I valide this site it is okay)
Using the http://validator.w3.org/and then revalidating with options show source: I get

is great.
for unzipping I use filzip, when you download xoops, right click green folder - select open in ... and it will open it. Keep double clicking on the folders until you get the HTML one.
Then open up FTP, open up HTML file select all and transfer it to your server
After that follow the install

I have tried heaps of themes and not had any problems 0 which one did you try.
xoops was my first attempt at anything on the web, Over the last 5 months I have played, read, asked lots of questions and "won some lost some"
