How to get recent topics in single lines

Some themes (like bm-glass, fancy_free and fcTechnoBlue) have the recent topics blocks in single lines. Most themes use two lines for each topic though. I want to use a theme that uses two lines, but change it so it uses one line for each recent topic. How can I do that? I can't figure it out from the css of the three themes mentioned alas.

I will probably use imago07 by the way.

It is not yet possible alas. This is a flaw of Xoops, I think: a lot of users (including me) want what you describe. It is possible to have users redirect to the news module, but this has disadvantages, like that the news module is bookmarked (instead of just www.domain.com). And the shorturl hack doesn't work :(

Hopefully it is possible in the future.

I also tried to install the shorturl-hack. This is the error I get on my main page now:

Notice [PHP]: Undefined offset: 2 in file include/common.php line 267

This is line 267 of common.php:
$xoopsTpl->display('db:system_siteclosed.html');

Is this something that can be fixed?

I know it is possible to add a button/link. But I think it's better if it there is one by default (or some setting to add it instead of needing to code it).

Also the xoops.org site should have one... for IE users it is not obvious that the site has a feed.

Hi,

Does anyone know why XOOPS doesn't have a RSS button (or link) ? At least, the xoops.org site doesn't have one (though it does have <link rel="alternate" type="application/xml" title="RSS" href="https://xoops.org/backend.php"> in the code). Of course it is possible to add a button on your own site, but shouldn't there be one by default?

Hi,

Are you fond on playing chess and good in css and themes? Then you might be able to help me.

I am about to start a Dutch chess site which will feature contributions from masters and grandmasters. I can make an ok design with a basic theme from Xoops, but not a neat one, though I like one. So I am looking for someone who can help me with that. It is a non-commercial site, so there is no budget, but you can play some blitzgames with a grandmaster as reward if you want.
