I've been using Mantis for a little bit now and am pretty happy with it. You are right there is no way, that I know of, to duplicate a project. But it does have the ability to copy categories from an existing project. This does help a bit.

I'll keep watching this thread, I'm interested to see what this other bug tracking system is.

How about Bugzilla? Is it any good? Has anyone tried to port that into xoops?

Just went to aston themes (http://astonthemes.com/) and found their front page says large graphic "secure your #### or lose it" with the login usually seen when the site is shut down for maintenance.

Anyone know how to contact the admin there?

Thanks illumineerin,

you've just gained yourself a lot of credibility by responding.

You may be right, I'll wait for the rest of the community to respond on this one. Sorry I was so blunt on my previous note. You may even be right, I was too quick to respond to even notice where you posted.

I am just getting tired of people signing up into the various forums I read and posting a single message "Visit my site" to increase their PR.

Is it just me, I can't stand stuff like this clogging up the forum.

Why isn't spam like this just deleted?

Ouch... you snagged me with this comment...

Quote:
Now I see the two articles (if I'm logged in as a registered user or greater), and a couple of menu items. Big deal, if you will pardon the expression.

The advantage to using Xoops, IMHO, is the large selection of modules that you can install to do pretty much anything you want. All being administered by a central member database.

Listen to m0nty, look at the various modules that are available to install, figure out what you want to do with your website and have fun with it.

And you will find most of the modules will start up empty, you're going to have to populate them with interesting content yourself.

For my purpose I have setup a family website, and use the following modules:

News
Links
Polls
WiwiMod - A very nice wiki
xcGal - Photo Album

There are all sorts of other modules you can install into your XOOPS site to do all sorts of things... guestbooks, calendars, content management, ... ... and if you don't see what you are looking for usually a quick message to the forums will get a response pointing you in the right direction. Please search the site before you post a message though!

Good luck!

Here's one that works well for me, I think this is what you are looking for.

Xoops.org - Uservisit Module

"User visit 2.2 displays in the admin area, details of what pages your users have been looking at, how many times for each page, and how long each visit was."

There are other good stats programs that you can make available to all your members, e.g. XOOPS Site Stats. But I think this is different from what you want.

SourceForge - XOOPS Stats

It's easy (if I understand your question correctly).

Open your administration control panel.
System Admin > Blocks
Scroll down to the Add a new block section.

Block type: Side block left
Weight: {this controls where this will be stacked within the other existing blocks int his area. Set this to a value between the weight of the Community Block, and the User Menu Block. Don't worry, play around with it a bit, you won't hurt anything.}
Visible In: {set what pages you would like to see this on. You can select multiple items by holding down the <shift> key while selecting}
Title: {What do you want to see for a title}
Content: {this is where you put your link, use HTML}

<a href="http://www.mysitename.com">Name of Link</a>

Like I said, play around with it.

Looks pretty good, one page stretched out on me:

http://xoopsfactory.de/modules/newbb/viewforum.php?forum=2

I have to scroll to the right to see the forum list.

Using Mozilla Firefox 1.0.4.
