I get this message when I go into admin interface.....

Warning: httpd.www/mainfile.php is writeable by the server.
Please change the permission of this file for security reasons.
in Unix (444), in Win32 (read-only)

The problem is that my webhost does noit allow me to change it through a FTP client. I need some advice how to change this some other way....

Thanks!

My hosting company have some kind of setting so I cant remove the write attribute on mainfile.php with the use of a FTP-client.

On my other hosting company this is possible. Please, give me a hint how this can be done in some other way.

Well, I just updated the protector to the latest version. In the prefix manager I can read:

If you want to change prefix,
edit /customers/cykeltur.se/cykeltur.se/httpd.www/mainfile.php manually.

define('XOOPS_DB_PREFIX', 'xoops');

Then there is a copy field. I am not sure what to do here... ;o)

Should I enter the new prefix in the copy filed and then edit the mainfile.php to get this working with a new prefix.

As it says "copy" I presume that the old DB and all the information inside is left intact and that there will be a copy of all the information. Correct?

It is like the block do not exist at all or like it is not enabled. There is not even a space.

Have a look at this site:
http://www.cykeltur.se

On top in the center there is a custom block with a green text image saying "Cycle for life", and then there should be some text about this project.

Most of the time this center block now just starts with the articles in AMS 2.41.

But sometimes, god knows why, it shows up somehow.... ;o)

Count me in. I have this problem too, but not all the time. Sometimes it can be seen for a while in both Mozilla, Firefox and IE. Then after some time without any changes on the server, it does not show up any more..... I have checked everything and felt a bit stupid until I saw this thread and that more people have the same problem... ;o)

I am using 2.2.2

I have been using XOOPS Protector since this spring. After reading about the latest hackerattacks I decided to check it out once more. Then I saw this message in the Security Advisory:

XOOPS_DB_PREFIX' : XOOPS Not secure
This setting invites 'SQL Injections'.

Is it possible to fix this on a site that is up an running? If so.... how? I am using XOOPS 2.2.2
