Thanks! I butchered the BCool theme a while ago. I used the simple theme to strip the site back to basics. Now that I've got a bit more free time, I want to start compiling the site again. Last night I added XCGal, now to just add the remaining 1200 or so photos!

Just trying to decide on which module to use for a "Members cars" section, a page per vehicle for everyone in the club.

Rich.

I've just recently downgraded from 2.2.1 to 2.0.1.14, and all is well. Upgraded News from 1.42 to 1.44. All is still well.

However, I've just noticed that the number of comments on all pages doesn't add up.

Look at this page. Looking half way down the page, there is a news item with three links. Click on it. There are no comments. Looking in the comments section in Admin, I have 4 comments in the table.

How can I update all news articles to show the correct number of comments?

Thanks.

I just took the gallery down, and when I can be bothered I'll re upload the smaller images.

Some kink of arhiving would be ideal. If the image hasn't viewed for so long, the full size image is purged... i don't know.

Funny, that works today. I probably didn't refresh.

I've put these in the style.css
td#header1 {background-image: url(images/header1.gif);height: 155px;width: 775px;}
td#header2 {background-image: url(images/header2.gif);height: 155px;width: 775px;}
td#header3 {background-image: url(images/header3.gif);height: 155px;width: 775px;}

and the following in theme.html
<td align="left" id="header<{$random}>"><img src="<{$xoops_imageurl}>images/logo.gif" hspace="24" /></td>

The theme is producing id="header1", id="header2" etc but the style isn't being shown.

Is there a way to use these variables in the syles.css sheet? I'm thinking random backgrounds for cells in tables.

The name had pointed to a different web space. Problem solved? Not really. I terminated the account and recreated it. After the problem, I took a backup using db_backup, which I guess has backed up this mysteryous version of the database which it somehow found. Oh dear... I'll have long and hard for a usable backup of the site, if I have one. That'll teach me.

Update from 2.0.13.0 to 2.2.0 failed. Rebuilding site

After a failed update, I went back to my backups, but the Admin side of XOOPS has gone bang. Blank screens all over.

I was thinking of taking the tattered remains of my 2.0.13.0 database and trying to get a fresh copy of 2.2.2 working, with the information for my users, forums and xcgal running.

Anyone got any golden tips for doing this? I've not being very successful at getting even just the users in. I'm going to take a copy and update it, and copy the tables to a fresh install.

When I use Putty to view the files, each file has a * after it's name. Anyone know what that means?

Maybe this will shed some light on the problem.
I can't see the files;
Via http
Via ftp

I CAN see the files;
Via SSH terminal
Via File Manager with Cpanel.

So they're all still there. but I can't see them outside of cpanel.
