I'm fast running out of space on my webserver.
What I intend to do is reduce the size of the images in XCGal.

Has anyone written a script that scans the images in the database and re-enter the size and dimensions? I can resize the images at home and re-upload the files, but then the database would be incorrect. with about 1500 images, I really don't want to do it manually.

bump! I'm running into this problem. . why doesn't coppermine/xcgal have an option to automatically resize the user's uploaded image to a certain size? It already makes mid-size versions at a particular size. It shouldn't be that big a deal to have the ability to alter the root image, so that the gallery doesn't eat up all your disk space.

I just took the gallery down, and when I can be bothered I'll re upload the smaller images.

Some kink of arhiving would be ideal. If the image hasn't viewed for so long, the full size image is purged... i don't know.
