If you are using the Liaise module, only the Liaise 1.26 versions works correctly on XOOPS 2.0.x versions (2.0.18 for example).

That might be your problem with the form not showing up.

Hi everyone,

I have written a short blog post about one way that I have developed to create custom form styles with the Liaise module.

You can read the full post here

I too would really like to see a working realty module like this developed!

I have used an installation of OpenRealty in an XOOPS site, but I have just framed this second application using an iframe. As a module, something like this would be much easier to use.

I look forward to the release of this mod!

Thanks DJ, I was able to login to phpMyAdmin and tweak the field attribute like that.

BTW, I only wanted to change one of the text areas in the user form to be larger (as I was changing the name of that form field to one of my own, and needed more space). I found later that if you want to do that, it's easier to just change the BIO field, and in edituser.php to just change this line:

$edituser->setVar('bio', xoops_substr($_POST['bio'], 0, 2000));

I changed the number of characters allowed to be 2000 in this example.

You can see what I am talking about on myhttp://ottawawebsitedesign.ca user pages.

Hi everyone,

Quick question: where are the variables that control the number of characters that can be inputted into the user signature text area?

I have been able to enlarge the size of the text area, but the characters entered are not all appearing on the user profile page...they are getting cut off at about 253 characters (with spaces). Any idea on what file I have to change to fix this?

Thanks,

jeffgr

Usually, this problem occurs when you have not installed the correct frameworks that are also required by these modules.

In the case of the modules you mentioned however, I don't think they require any sort of additional frameworks to operate...but then again, you should check the release notes on that.

The magazine module is quite old I think...it might not work with the latest version of Xoops.

I presume you uploaded the correct top-level module folder into the modules directory (depending on how the module was zipped up or wrapped, this can sometimes be tricky).

Hope that helps.

You can do this with the Boox module. Simply upload a blank content page

http://xoopsexperts.com/modules/downloads/singlefile.php?cid=3&lid=4

and then, with the Boox module installed, insert a Boox code on this new page. Boox will allow you to go and update the text that is shown on your new page through the Boox module admin interface.

I hope that makes sense? :)

Is there an RSS plugin for Newbbex? This would be really helpful to have...

BTW, the brandycoke RSSfit module doesn't seem to work with 2.0.18 anymore...anyone else have any luck with this?

Thanks,

Jeffgr
