Maybe you mean have the news and the description on the front page? Admin->Preference->Default Start Module -> News

Try the Theme Changer Module. The title is somewhat misleading, doesn't really explain all it can do but it works, and is quite good. I have it on my site if you want to see it.

I had the same problem but I think some of the fields aren't filled in. I didn't fill in the Website URL (not the feed URL) and it gave me that problem. I filled in all the fields and it worked

I had this problem before and it was my host having MySQL errors. Someone else on the server was locking down the DB. Check with host to see if they have a problem?

Cuckston. $10 is a steal! Count me in.

bd_csmc: I found this Nuke mod todayhttp://www.paypalnuke.com. I know you're probably busy with the phpbb thing now but would you be willing to port over to XOOPS if I buy paypalnuke? Or anyone? I just talked to burnwave and he's not taking cusomization now

I'm really really interested in this. Have you got this to work? I use News extensively and am quite dissapointed trackback is lacking and I don't want to use a blog module because I use w.Bloggar with XOOPS News.

Thanks for joining in the thread burnwave. I wouldn't be able to tell you much on that but for me my utmost concern is PayPal + another 3rd party mostly likely 2checkout. aMember does these very well in the site I mentioned earlier, we have both PayPal & 2checkout doing monthly recurring. But I suppose you're talking about how a subscription is set up right? Could you contact me we talk some more if you'd rather not discuss it here that is.

I'm game if subscription can be worked in. Would that have to be done at Emporium side or do you think you can port WITH subscription sorry I'm not very clever here

I thought about that, most probably will

Hey bd_csmc Emporium looks pretty cool! Too bad it doesn't handle subscriptions

Working with a customer who wanted it, we did a XOOPS with aMember plugin. It works beautifully but plugin setup doesn't come with a lot of explanation not that it's difficult anyway but like Tom, I didn't like how it was not too well integrated from the user point because you can login via XOOPS or you can login via aMember however unless you create a link to the subscription account page from Xoops, users won't be able to access their account. It's not a huge problem but it can get confusing for customers IMHO. Still waiting patiently here for your module Tom
