I'm using that too, but past experiences with mamba, we shared images on google document, for this reason I decided to put this link

Yes! You need to make the changes as shown. Otherwise, you'll continue to have spams...

If you want to make it even harder for the spammers, then set one of the fields like "location" or "interests" mandatory.

Another 100 spam messages last night.

I'm running Xoops 2.5.7.1

Is there nothing that can be done to stop the Spam in Xoops?

I had another 100 spam messages from Xoops last night.

What can I do to stop this spam?

When the block is active, does it happen also with your old theme, or only with the new theme?

Hey,
I found that there is missing rate-limiting protection at login panel of the Xoops CMS by using which an attacker can guess the passwords using brute force attacks.
I'd be more than happy to provide PoC's for this particular bug.

Extcal Fatal error

I changed my theme and experienced a strange fatal error in Extcal:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function eclaircirCouleur() in /home/mymap/mydomain/public_html/modules/extcal/class/event.php on line 323

It doesn't happen with my current theme, it doesn't happen in my test situation with the new theme. It happen if the extcal_block_upcoming.html is activated.
