Most of the modules that are kept up to date are in the GitHub repository at https://github.com/XoopsModules25

Some of these have been 'forked' and may require a little searching to get the most up to date version until the forks are 'pulled' back into the master.

There are some other modules that individual developers have in their personal GitHub repositories too.

As @alain01 said - if you can tell us what you want to do we might be able to guide you towards the best module(s) to get you started.

Ok,
just for info,
now that i know (but im' not an CSS expert) to use the css framework Boostrap 4,
so i re-open my work on a news admin theme. (we need it)

I'm working on this base : SB Admin 2

- AdminLTE ,
- ArchitectUI React Dashboard,
- ArchitectUI HTML Dashboard

seem to be nice free dashbord themes too.

Xoops is really a nice Open Source platform, & I want to install it. What are the latest modules available in xoops platform. Can you provide any link to read more about it?

Goffy, Publisher has an option in Preferences to be notified when somebody has added or submitted a comment to an article.

I didn't test it if it works, but if it's in publisher, then I assume that it should be possible in wgGallery too.

it is not what I needed, but I will look for a solution that comes as close as possible to this need; thanks anyway for the suggestion.
