I use notetab pro on my system as a notepad replacement. Any text editor will work fine for changes.

Thanks for fast reply, but I don't understand. ¿Is it the same if I use notepad?, 'cause it save .txt files but not .html files... That's the problem, I think. ¿How do you save .html files after you edit theme.html?
Thanks again and again

If you open a html file with notepad, make changes and save then it should still be a html file. If not, just change the name of the file.

i.e. mytheme.txt change to mytheme.html

Not a good idea, unless you know how to see and strip out some of the supporting code that these types of WYSIWYG editors put in.

Things like FrontPage even add their own metatags stating ...

content-generator-frontpage etc.

Not what you want in the header of a XOOPS website.

The code they add is superflous and ugly, use them with caution.

No, any ordinary (better than notepad) text-editor will be good for easy reading of theme-files. I use EditPlus (because it has syntax-highlighting, support different EOL types...)

I use Crimson Editor which is a great freeware editor for Windows. Very powerful.
