Hi

Running MySQL, PHP 4.3.8, IIS 5 on Win XP. During the install I receive the following message:

PHP Warning: copy(../mainfile.php): failed to open stream: Permission denied in C:\Webapps\Xoops\install\class\mainfilemanager.php on line 52

Can someone tell me where I have gone wrong please

During the install XOOPS informs the user which folders and files needs to have writeable permissions added. is your mainfile.php chmod(ed) 666

therm:

Open your Windows Explorer and find 'mainfile.php' Then rightclick and call the 'properties' and goto tab 'security' You will find a '|USR_*' user with permissions. Just give the |USR_* 'write' permissions and your set.

chmod() is a great command but only used on a linux/unix platform

Also check that the 'Read-Only' tick box is not ticked. If it is, clear it to make it writable (the equivalent of 666 chmod).

any other solution for this problem? as i bought a hosting in a windows platform...upset don't know what to do...is it true that you cannot install XOOPS on windows platform? HELP!
