In answer to your question,
You can add a webcam to just about any page if you have the right program. Yahoo offers this service with their messanger. (SeeHere) Basically how it works is you upload an image "yourcam.jpg" and the program takes a new picture over and over replacing the one before, and updates the image. Some take a new images every second, some take many images every second.
To incorpertate this into a module you simpley have the user add the url to their personal cam image. :)

There is a XOOPS cam module on this sitealready you may want to check it out.

Hope this helps :)
Regards, Danni.

I still have trouble getting that webcam module to work. Maybe because i don't quite understand how webcam work in browsers.

There is a part in the form where i should fill in.
"Webcam's page URL" <- how should i fill this?

Does it mean i have to set up a site just for the webcam?

Ok, I'll try to be more explicit about camportail.
First create a category then a subcategory (it's a must have).
In it, fill in all the required fields.
About the URL of the webcam, simply copy/paste the url where is the webcam.
For example, onto my website there is only one webcam and the url I copy/paste was: http://www.valdisere.com/fr/montagne/webcam/webcam1.htm
You can create your own php/html page for your webcam and then add it in camportail.
Hope this time I'm more helpfull.

Oh now i am starting to get how it works.
I had been filling that spot with my Webcam URL with my web address.

How do you create the webcam pages? like this one http://www.valdisere.com/fr/montagne/webcam/webcam1.htm
