Just an upgrade question (luwie asked me the steps by pm). The new module has a changed database and when upgrading the old database is converted. Do you have to install the old module for upgrading on a new xoops install or is uploading the old pedigree database tables to the new xoops database sufficient?

I asked luwie to ask further questions in the forum btw, as answers can be useful for others too!

That's normal, the configuration check does not show the url but the path on the server.

Are you sure you gave users both rights to see the album but also to see images in the album? You have to set this permissions at two separate places. The see album option is made to hide an album but you are still able to have a link to single pictures.

It's always frustrating to see your site fail because of an upgrade! As the central part of the site malfunctions now I guess the best option is to update xoops to version 2.5.5 and update the Pedigree module with the current beta. There may be some issues left but it seems the user side does not have any problems.

I don't know if your content and guestbook module will survive an upgrade, but there is not much content, so it will not be a problem to put this in a new module if necessary.

Most important first step is to have a good backup (files and database).

Last summer I stayed in a hotel in Exeter being part of 4 separate little hotels from one owner. I don't know if owning more hotels is very common, but I would suggest to add an option to add more hotels (or buildings). This makes the module more versatile, it then also could be used by little booking bureaus.

Looking for a hotel room in a premium spot I'd like to know what I see when looking through the window. Can I see the ocean from my window or is it just the wall from the building next to it? I would add a 'premium view' option in search options.

Is the user side supposed to work already? I don't see anything, although I have made an item under all options

When adding prices they are all saved as 99.9999, no matter what price I add... When trying to edit already added prices I get the form for adding a new price. Debug says:

I don't understand why prices and rooms not are connected, or is this work in progress?

Overall this looks like a promising module to me.

Edit: I disabled the blocks one by one and it seems they all give the same error at the same lines.

Xoops is 2.5.5 / php 5.3.19, I used todays trunk version from svn

I digged up a further developed version from Menno Vlaanderen (http://www.weimaranerpedigrees.com). They are in a process of porting the database to a new script (none xoops), we may use their 'old' code with improvements:

Also some templates are improved. According to Menno it works with xoops 2.4.5/ php 5.2.8. I tested it with xoops 2.5.5 but get only blank pages...

I did not have time yet to test, I'll do this asap. This sounds like a module which also could be used for a camping or bungalow park?

I agree with Mamba. I love the easiness and simplicity of the userpage module, I have used it before but without the need for social networking stuff.

Merging functionality in one 'complex' module also can give problems in future. Who can update and maintain it in case a module is abandoned by the original developer?

I'm not a sports fan, but I know that the tpl league module is still in use by a few amateur football clubs in the Netherlands. I'll give this some airplay on nlxoops!

Is it possible to build in a routine for recognizing if a picture is part of a link? The popup function is nice, so why disable it only because a few picture links can't use it..

Adding a second [img] xoopscode could do this. Let's call it someting like [linkimg][/linkimg] so caricaphoto is not used for that particular image.

Another wish I have: make caricaphoto a plugin you can replace by lightbox kind of scripts. In this way all content modules can be used as a gallery too!
