Fernand (fla-ts) has also put his question in the Dutch forum. The site is made with xoops 2.3, modules used are WFDownloads 3.2, Tiny Content 1.5, Tiny editor (as a separate module) and Xlanguage 3. It looks like the initial idea was to make it a Dutch/ English site with two languages, but the English part shows 'under construction' in most articles...

Fernand gave me a login, I tested and it looks like the downloads module has a serious problem when adding a new download. Could be due to a php upgrade as xoops 2.3 is rather old, but xoops 2.3 had no server environment check so I am not sure about that...

I agree with Mamba a xoops/ module upgrade must be done. Also to prevent further malfunction in future... It's not just updating software as it is not clear to me if there are current versions of Tiny Content and WFDownloads, and what about Xlanguage???

So asking one of us to volunteer to upgrade your site is not an option, more work has to be done besides just updating. It could be you need a new/other content module so all has to be moved.... I would advice you to hire someone to do the job for you Fernand. If you place an advert here on xoops.org I am sure you find someone willing to help you for a reasonable price.

I found a typo in the English translation, causing a blank page when opening the menu-block for editing. Quote: Error on line 14: Line 14 without typo: I can't alter files on sourceforge... Please let someone fix it!

I uses latest xCenter module (2.16) for a project, it's working stable so I don't want to replace it by this beta fork for now...

Strange issue is content from the module does not show up in search results. When choosing extended search the module does not even show up between the modules you can search in. Xoops is 2.5.5

Can anyone confirm this issue with current xContent beta?

The Dummy module once made by Trabis would be a nice one for this new cloning module.

Cloning this module is already very simple (rename the module and upload again), cloning it with the cloning module would be suburb.

Next to that it would be nice to have an updated Dummy module with Seo option and admin function for page titles, keywords and submenu items.

Sorry, but I can't see any use for this. As a webmaster you want to highlight new posts or content, not modules.

But talking about NEW... I would really like the idea of having an update counter in the browser status bar or tab, like it works in Facebook when having new likes or updates. This could be connected to PM and the Notify system. This would also be great for social media kind of sites build with xoops.

Do you have a news block enabled on the index page? If so try to disable it. I had similar problems after a news module upgrade, a problem with the block template was causing this.
