Thanks and any other suggestion will definitely help me in developing this module on time. btw, do I need to register this module to get official support from xoops? If yes how and where?

Item #7 in the Wiki is what you are looking for, here:
http://wiki.xoops.org/wakka.php?wakka=HomePage

If you want to jump right in, jump to 7.2.2, the Kickstart guide.

I hope that helps. Good luck with the modules.

I am using XOOPS for last one month and planing to develop a new module (Auction + Classified) from scratch (no help from open source) which will be compatiable with XOOPS 2.0.5 core structure. I am looking for some guidelines and documentations to help me out in developing this module. Though I registered myself at www.modules.xoops2.com but few of the pages are not working properly.

Any help from hereforth is greatly appreciated.

Thanking all in advance, Regards.

Shivaji

Aloha,

I just finished installing with all green lights and got a blank start page. I read through numerous old posts - and the wiki files - on the subject and tried numerous suggested solutions to no avail. On the other hand, I was able to turn on the debugging feature but unfortunately after looking over the mentioned files I haven't got a clue what's wronng.

I'm sorry to add to the already massive amounts of posts on this subject but I was hoping someone with more experience could possibly use the error messages to put me on the right track.

They are:

Parse error: parse error in /home/dakahuna/public_html/templates_c/default^theme.html on line 72
Notice [PHP]: Undefined index: lang_rememberme in file templates_c/db%3Asystem_block_login.html line 7
Notice [PHP]: Undefined index: sslloginlink in file templates_c/db%3Asystem_block_login.html line 10
Notice [PHP]: Undefined index: xoops_lblocks in file class/smarty/Smarty.class.php line 612
Notice [PHP]: Undefined index: modules in file templates_c/db%3Asystem_block_mainmenu.html line 10

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mahalo,

Pat

what a great way to put XOOPS to use. a site like yours is what the net is all about. i also agree with charpres. less is sometimes more.

this is great news, catz. i just pulled the plug on the ipb mod. i love the forum but got aggravated at the upgrade path issues. i think that another reason people dislike newbb is because it looks pretty lame, no matter which theme you use. this is related more to an inconsistent implementation of smarty than anything being wrong with newbb though.

in the meantime, a few changes in your theme css and you can make the board feel more integrated into your site. i can't wait for 2.1.

Any idea on the time frame for this? I'm just wondering not being pushy.

Thanks
