Spiders is a robot manager tool, that imports a list of all crawler and scanner robots on the web. It allows you to use XOOPS Permissiveness to control the data that robots list online your site. It will also log the robot in using a post loader and display when the robot is online on you 'Whos Online'.

Do you want your robots like GoogleBot, Yahoo Slurp! and others to log in and identify on your xoops installation? Then spiders is for you!!! The robot text file used is taken from an online resource of Robot data and stores it in your database. Remember to adjust your mainfile.php to include the post loader after the common file is loaded. Robot Manager (Spiders) is a good way to control what your site displays in search engines.

Upgrade Instructions:

If you haven't set permission throughout your XOOPS Site for Robots then it is a simple case of uninstalling and re-installing then importing the current robots-all.txt. However if you have set permissions then I suggest you follow the steps as so. a) import robots-all.txt b) change 'Protected Keywords from Useragents' in Robot Managers (spiders) preferences to contain at least these keywords without a carriage return::

List of bugs

It was impossible to choose categories to show in the block admin (nothing is shown) (Mage).
In the modification request, if the logo doesn't exist, the default value wasn't "blank.gif" (Mage).
In the editing form of a download file, the date wasn't the current date (Mage).
Permissions by files don't run well (Mage).
In visit.php the url of download can cause a problem (Fabrice59).
Call of inexistent file in class tree.php (Mage).
the category title isn't informed in the notification message "category_newfile_notify.tpl" (Mage).
missing view.tag.php and list.tag.php added (voltan).

Installation

You have to delete the existent folder "TDMDownloads" in "modules".
Upload the new folder "TDMDownloads" to your server in the "modules" folder.
Update the module.
Go to each block, then edit the options (important to insure the function of the blocks).
If you overloaded your templates, it will be necessary to update them.

The module uses the Framework "moduleadmin", it is necessary to install it on your site.

Profile 1.69 is a version of Profile module for XOOPS that allows for a verbose registration to be done.

This has a field for validation that allows for Text Match, RegEx or SQL Validation to be used to prevent people registering with your website without having validation data of sometype such as an existing email address or an invite code or some regular expression statement.

Featuring still Multiple Fields, 2 Types of validation - one which uses JSON; the other that uses the Field $_POST validation method.

Simply upgrade your existing XOOPS 2.4 or 2.5 to XOOPS Profile 1.65 to experience the difference. We can really recommend XinCodes 1.05 for a user based invitation to be done.

Now with IP Validation so an IP Address can be only used once to register. THis means you can check you are not being signed up by an Indian SEO Sweat Shop and other such misbehaviour in signup.

Xortify is a network security drone that uses Web 2.0 techniques to link between your XOOPS installs and other via a Server Cloud. Jlmzone Upgrade to 2.5.1 plus Facelift with sliders in blocks

Upgraded from Xoops 2.4.4 to 2.5.1 no problems at all, so far.

I also upgraded my Forum Module from CBB 3.0.8 to X-Forum 5.76

Both things took about 2 hours. Not bad at all.

Don't know if there is a script to migrate CBB to X-Forum but I did it manually.

I also recently updated the theme on jlmzone.com.
I kept the old colors, although I don't know why.

The new theme has two versions one is not really Internet Explorer friendly unless they use compatability mode.
Use the theme changer to see different versions of the same theme, and the old one.
I will probably make that my default theme in a few days or so. I will also explain what users should do if they use Internet Explorer, so it's all good.

I couldn't use it on any other site right now, but I have less than 25% of my users that use Internet Explorer, I'm proud to say. Shooting for less than 15% by the end of the year.

I have added some sliders as blocks on the site. One left block, one right block and a center block, all using bxSlider, and all on one page, just to show it can be done. One slider shows my modules, one slider Explains what Internet Explorer Users should do, and the third one only registered users will see because it is the original content from the bxslider website.

I like Led Zeppelin, maybe that's why I chose bxSlider.

Over then next couple of weeks I will be releasing the code in my blocks and the css files for everyone to use, simply copy and paste my code into a block. Put the block on any pages you want. The css file will be documented a little.

Like I said the slider is bxSlider, I just fit it into some xoops blocks. Believe me it wasn't the easiest thing to do, but not to bad either.
