I kow that it took some time for the friendfinder release. You weill find new features and bugfixes. Please read the readme.txt if you like to upgrade you existing friendfinder run upgrade.php. Please be careful with updating and try it first on your local mashine.
Finally, (after some little problems) the Xoops2 version of Comics is released. You don't know the module Comics? It is just a module with a collection of comic feeds. (Just?)
With XOOPS getting close to release, it's getting VERY hard to keep up with what's a bug and what's a user error from reports in the forums. So, the XOOPS team has decided to finally use the bug reporting facilities within Sourceforge (Tracker). You will need to create or have an account on Sourceforge to submit a bug. Sorry, no anonymous bugs
The rules are simple, please follow these easy guidelines before submitting a bug report:
Hi! I went ahead and started documenting the core API for Xoops2 using phpDoc, as you can see in the CVS. The generated doc can be viewed at http://xoops.sourceforge.net/xoops2doc/.
The work is far from complete, because I started in the kernel classes working my way out. It will be updated as more code gets added.
I have just made some modifications to the original FreeContent 1.0, making it compatible now with the new Xoops 2.xx. As the excellent original version is no longer supported, I named it Freecontent 1.2. You can download it at my site http://www.wjue.org.
GLOAMING.us is dedicated to the intelligent, rational discussion of contemporary issues. And, of course, we have all of the usual: news, weather, search engines, polls, links, an on-line legal dictionary, and so on.
I'm not tooting my horn here but, I did want to let everyone know that I've bitten the bullet and used the RC2 to upgrade my production site http://www.boardjive.com.
That was a walk in the park. What I want to show is that with the new XOOPS 2 theme'ing system, more things are possible without coding PHP. I took the Default theme and modified it to suit my needs. In the near future I will be doing a lot more cool things with CSS and the theme system. Understand that there are no hacks here, I only used CSS and modified the templates.
Hopefully by next week, I'll have a mini theme how-to in the XOOPS wiki (http://wiki.xoops.org) to give you some guidelines on how to accomplish this same thing. Stay tuned.
Since Freecontent won't be upgraded by the original developer anymore. I am the one who takes care of it now. So I gave it a new Name and did some modifications.
Following modifications: 1. Content files (html) are now searchable inside Xoops 2. Filemangement added to the admin section 3. You can add and delete the files now through the admin interface no need of ftp client anymore 4. Content is fixed to the content-folder inside the module 5. Put images or additional files to the fixed image folder
News mods for xoops With this module you can make your own style sheet simply .I search the translators to translate this modules in different language .
