Description This theme is the Xoops port of the popular, stylish, open-source Kubrick theme.
This is a fixed-width, two column theme. The XHTML and CSS is standards compliant. It will scale as far down as 800x600, and has been tested in Internet Explorer 6.0, FireFox 1.0, Opera 7.5, and Konquerer. It was set up to look good with a simple install, but also to be easy to customize.
Another new version of the Shoutbox 3.x serie. Not much changed, mainly bugfixes. If everything goes like planned, the next version should be able to store the shouts in a mysql table.
Use Xoops for a Blog? A little overkill, but what the heck? I moved my site, DaveDorm, to Xoops a few weeks ago, from Wordpress. I was unable to import some three years of archives, but I knew the risks going in. It's a personal blog, but Xoops was, as usual, up to the task. DaveDorm is located at http://www.davedorm.com
My other site is for a SciFi club called Genesis Fleet. We are using Xoops with several key modules, including piCal, the CafePress module, and others. We have a few dozen members and growing every day. Genesis Fleet is located at http://www.genesisfleet.com
Xoops Tips has released a little guide - how to create a multiple-themed Xoops site.
Different from the themechanger module, the guide covers Tips/tricks on followings: how to use different themes for individual modules; how to change themes according to seasonal patterns; and how to use different style sheets for different modules under the same theme.
We hold an open conference about XOOPS in Tokyo Japan on May 21, 2005. This conference has the slogan "All participants are the developpers". Over 100 Xoopsers has already applied the confirence.
New site about the Vulture area in Basilicata (South Italy) is using Xoops: http://www.ilvulture.it
You can find information (Geography, tipical products and dishes, Tourism) about this poorly known zone and it's famous Aglianico vine in three languages. Looking forward that even more Xoops modules will be able to deal with multiple languages in the future . I've forgot to say: Xoops is great!
