Release of WF-Download 3.0 RC 1 by the SmartFactory
The SmartFactory is proud to release version 3.0 RC1 of file management module : WF-Downloads 3.0 RC1 ! What is WF-Downloads? WF-Download is a file management tool with upload functionality. Based on the original Xoops download module and heavily modified by Catzwolf. It now features improvements from members of the SmartFactory team.

In this release we did many bugfixes, added new features and updates many things.

We did it again: MapJunction.org running on XOOPS
It started when we made a layout for our own website at http://www.softechmatrix.nl that was based on one of the great Imago Themes. We completely redesigned their template with a great result that we used for a year on our website (we have just switched to a NEW layout). Next we where contacted by people from http://www.MapJunction.org: they wanted to use our layout. Finally we ended up building their completely website (although they manage the content ) and completely customize the design to give their site a look of their own. We also designed their logo.We where already planning to release this particular layout to the Xoops community and I'm happy to say that the agreements made with MapJunction include provisions to release the layout to the community

Marquee version 2.0 Alpha 1
The Xoops Marque module was released in version 2.0 Alpha 1.
Alpha means that all the module's functionnalities are not finished and that you don't have to use it on a production site. The code and the functionnalities in the next versions will change.
Marquee is a module wich enable you to give "weight" to some information by placing it in a scrolling block whose content will scroll horizontally or vertically.
The great enhancement of this version it's the possibility to extract content from other modules.

Xcgal 2.0.1 was a little buggy, so xcgal 2.0.2 is released as a kind of bugfix version.
But I'm proud to add a very usefull feature for this release: watermarking. Watermarking can be turned on in module configuration. A default watermark file is stored in modules/xcgal/images/watermark_default.png. For an own watermark simply save your watermark.png into that folder. Requirements to use this feature are jpg pictures and GD support.

SOFTECHMATRIX website gets a new layout
The SOFTECHMATRIX website has been overdue for a facelift for quite a while now. Although we really liked the graphical aspects of the layout, we where aware of the fact that our relevant information was not quite clear to visitors. Well, this is now fixed. The primary focus of the new layout is on making our various services more visible. Besides this the new layout is also considerably faster because less graphics where used. Overall the layout 'feels' much more modern .
