ePhotoZ.com goes live using Xoops
Thank you Xoops team and those who contributed themes and modules. With your help, ePhotoZ.com went live a few days ago providing digital camera owners with photo enlargement services and prints up to 30x40.

xAsset 0.86 Release
Panther Software Publishing is pleased to announce the release of xAsset 0.86
xAsset enables webmasters to:
1. Sell digital media, such as software, mp3 media or pdf files. Webmasters can specify a product, which in turn can contain any number of files, all priced individually.
2. Sell group membership to premium areas of a Xoops website. xAsset supports this by joining a client to any Xoops user group specified by the sold product.
xAsset features:
1. Internationalisation by supporting configured multi currencies and taxes.
2. Secure downloading of digital assets by supporting file locations that reside outside of public_html folder. Download links cannot be directly linked and are only available to licensed users.
3. Plugin architecture for payment processors. Paypal payment gateway is provided by default with upcoming paid plugins coming shortly.
4. Ability to set membership duration times (3 month, 6 month etc) and the ability to track user expiry dates. An upcoming update will include extra notifications to warn expiring members automatically and “un-group” expired members.
5. Includes comprehensive 30 page help file (in the doc folder).

2. Fixed notifications. Notifications are sent to the admins when a client orders an application. The client is also sent a receipt for the purchase.
3. Fixed notifications when a new user is created while signing up via the User Details form in xAsset. Welcome email is sent with username and password.
4. Paypal verification code is more robust and now records failed outgoing SSL attempts.

Server maintenance in progress

After a long time of being closed for reconstruction, I've finally found a bit of time to actually do the work. Now I'm happy to show everyone the result: http://www.herkocoomans.net.
This website is nothing special, it's my weblog and personal digital playground, sandbox, testing range and experiment.

Get modules compatible with XOOPS 2.0, 2.2, 2.3
XOOPS is approaching a next generation of web CMS - XooSphere. During the procedure, we have a couple of intermediate releases, including XOOPS 2.013, 2.2*, 2.3 and so on. It is good for users to get know of some features they are expecting before the final XooSphere comes out, however, the modules for various release of XOOPS causes troubles to XOOPS users and module developers. Hereby we are doing our best to make a package of modules provided by xoopsforge.com compatible with all active XOOPS releases: XOOPS 2.013, XOOPS 2.2*, XOOPS 2.3

XOOPS @ IBDeeming! is proud to release Contact Us Version 1.6 for XOOPS 2.2.4 for free download!
This minor revision includes spcific updates for domain MX validation and suggested modifications by AAINC (IBDeeming! User).
For the most part, this module is the same as v1.5. The upgrade path is very simple. The changes made are
* New deep check validation on submitted return email addresses The problem was with the socket command. Added routine to verify MX records first. This sped up the overall check routine.
* Added AAINC (XOOPS@IBDeeming! User) suggestion for who email is From
Upgrading from V1.5 - V1.6 is very easy! Just copy the files, log-in as admin, go to Modules control, and Update the Contact-Us module. If you are successful, you should see version 1.6.

The Xoops modules Marquee (version 1 & 2) and iSearch are up to date.
For Marquee, this new versions correct some bugs when the texts were saved.
iSearch is also up to date with a version 1.4. Changes are :
- A bug was corrected in the words deletion
- The search in the blacklist is now case insensitive
- The code is lighter
- The export now uses the IP
