New Dokuwiki for Xoops release
jayjay has released his final version of Dokuwiki
It is based on the latest stable version Dokuwiki 2008-05-05. Dokuwiki is a great wiki system which can be extended easily with plugins. This version blends Dokuwiki into the Xoops CMS.
The main difference from the previous release is the sidebar theme. He also added some bugfixes.
Don't forget to install the latest Xoops Frameworks (Xoops 2.3+ has this included already).

in my community Arabxoops, we needed a free Arabic sports theme. So I made a quick one in black and red with a fixed background. (visit http://www.arabxoops.com to download the Arabic version). As all my themes,the PSD and fonts are included in the zipped folder.

Tags on XOOPS Site
Thanks to the release of News 1.63 by Instant-Zero, and the added "Tag" capability, we have updated the XOOPS site to newest News release, and we have now "tagging" options on our site. As a result, we have "tagging" blocks on the right-hand side, showing the most popular tags.
So next time when you're submitting News, please feel free to add your tags.
Our future "Knowledge Base", the replacement for our FAQ, will be also "tag-capable", as well as the upcoming CBB 4.0.

XOOPS 2.3.2b - Security Release
The security is always on top of the list of XOOPS Developers. Therefore the XOOPS Development Team is pleased to announce the release of XOOPS 2.3.2b, an improved XOOPS 2.3.x release.
This release is solely for a couple of critical fixes, including an XSS vulnerability reported by Digital Sercurity Research Group (or DSRG), potential local file inclusion vulnerability reported by DSRG, autologin bug reported by Dylian, a backward bug in data synchronization reported by boy0917 as well as a bug in xoopsmailer reported by ezsky.
In the 2.3.2b release we have further improved security fixes with help from DSRG.
All XOOPS 2.3.x users are highly recommended to upgrade to this version ASAP.
XOOPS 2.0 and 2.2 versions are not vulnerable to the XSS issues addressed here. However, all 2.0 and 2.2 users who have the Protector module installed are advised to upgrade to the version included in this package for local file inclusion issues.

4 Community Theme (APH002)
4 Community theme has 3 columns and it was tested on XOOPS 2.3 final using modules such as Planet, News, Webshow, Yogurt for compatibility check.
It contains 4 different styles where each style represents a color, default color is Blue, although with a minimum of coding it can be set to whatever color you like (from those available).
Theme is free to use and redistribute

SimplyWiki 1.0 (a.k.a. Wiwimod 0.8.3+) Final Released
The long-awaited updated release of Wiwimod 0.8.3 has arrived and is released as SimplyWiki 1.0 Final.
This module is a native wiki for XOOPS-based sites, offering wiki simplicity with support for WYSIWYG editors. The focus of this release was to make the module easier to use in a variety of XOOPS sites, more stable and more secure -
* All date formats are drawn from language//global.php, keeping date formats consistent with the rest of your site
* All text has been converted to language constants, eliminating hard-coded messages and making translation easier
* The blocksadmin area has been updated to work with current versions of XOOPS
* The module's directory can be renamed to any acceptable directory name
* Support for right-to-left languages is built in
Read the changelog included in the download packages for more details.
Installing/Updating
* Download and unpack the module
* Upload the wiwimod folder to your modules folder (overwriting existing files, if Wiwimod was previously installed)
* Go to the module administration area and install the module, or update the module, if previously installed

DayDawn Online runs new site + something for the XOOPS community!
Yesterday, we moved to a new host (because our old one, Lycos Europe, stops), and we have chosen again for XOOPS.
We didn't transfer our database and all of our files of our old host though, because there were a lot of older files and other stuff on our former host that were outdated and we didn't use anymore (we had an older install of WordPress and some modules we didn't use anymore), and we wanted a fresh start.
Since Lycos is crowded with requests for domain transfers, we decided to order 2 new domains with our new host, which are http://www.daydawnonline.net and http://www.playddo.net. Our old domain http://www.daydawnonline.com now links to our new site.
Our new site runs XOOPS 2.3.2, and uses following modules:
@ Mastop Publish 1.1
@ CBB 3.08
@ News 1.63
@ SmartFAQ 1.08
@ and all the normal XOOPS 2.3 modules.
We use the theme xd_moments (a bit modified) to make it look nice and a bit more DDO-like :)
We also have news for the XOOPS community!
Since the XOOPS community has always been there for us, and has done so much for us, we want to do something back, and we don't have too much money, but we try our best! We have already released Phoenix and Lagoon (themes).
But there is more, as we will open up the pre-registration for the game somewhere in the future, and every XOOPS user/visitor is invited to join the first tests! This is our gift to the XOOPS community!
We expect to open up the pre-registration in February, and we will post the news here (if we are allowed to, ofcourse) and we also have better news!
A special series of branded quests will be added to DayDawn Online, and these special quests will all be about XOOPS, making it the first branded quests in our game! (and this is a permanent add) - and any XOOPS user will be able to get a special weapon, armor and shield for use in the game :) (Like a XOOPS shield?:p)
