Xquiz 1.0 final released
Xquiz is a module for Xoops which lets you create multiple option quizzes at a specified time and attach them to categories in your website, users can take part quizzes and module administrators can then view quiz result statistics afterwards.

Meeting Room Booking System MRBS 1.41 final released.
This version is based on the MRBS Sourceforge project version 1.41 and is now a true Xoops module.
Some of the basic features:
Flexible Repeating Bookings
Authentication with your existing Xoops user database
Ensures that conflicting entries cannot be entered
Reporting option
Selectable DAY / WEEK / MONTH views
Authenticate levels (user, admin)
Support for bookings by time or period - ideal for use in schools
Room administrators can be notified of bookings by email
Multiple languages supported (translated to Catalan, Czech, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Greek, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Portuguese, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish)
Xoops features:
Tested on Xoops 2.0.18 and 2.3.x (php5, mysql5)
All settings stored in Xoops preferences.
Admin section.
Multilingual frontend and backend.
Clone and rename of the module possible (fully automated).
Basic how to guide (multilingual).

Kaotik has developed a new module Timeline as a proof of concept. It is based on the work of Simile Widgets.

Catzwolf to lead XOOPS Module Development Team
Over this last year, the core development team has put a lot of time and effort in getting our beloved CMS back on track, development wise and we are finally seeing results of it. With XOOPS 2.3.3 released, the proposed plans for 2.4 published recently, and the announced merger with Simple-XOOPS, EXM, and Zarilia, things are finally looking up for XOOPS! Yes, there will be a lot of changes in the near future, yet there is one area of XOOPS development we have seen fall further and further behind, and now, we want to tackle it as well.
It is time to restore module development to the forefront of XOOPS and bring it into line with the XOOPS Core development, and restore our reputation within the CMS world that we once held in high esteem. Therefore, we are re-establishing the XOOPS Module Development Team (MDT).
John Neill (Catzwolf) will take over the role as team leader for module development and oversee the changes that will be required. Catzwolf is the creator of the WF-Project modules, and holds module development close to his heart.

It is time to restore module development to the forefront of XOOPS and bring it into line with the XOOPS Core development, and restore our reputation within the CMS world that we once held in high esteem. Therefore, we are re-establishing the XOOPS Module Development Team (MDT).

XOOPS has gone multisite!! (beta testing)
XOOPS has gone multisite!!
Have you ever wanted to have a multiple sub domain or domain propagation for your xoops site? Well now you can, as part of the XOOPS expansion multisite beta testing is now on offer. You can download the install/upgrade from the XOOPS SVN.
Note: since it's beta, do NOT install it on a production site!!!
XOOPS offers the world of difference for both you and your clients but now with multi-xoops you can have the added power of your environment being multi-domain. It also has a firewall (‘Access Policies’). For example, if you are having a multi-lingual site, with this version you could propagate the domains like this:
http://www.example.com – Top Layer of the portal.
http://fr.example.com - French Layer of the portal.
http://gr.example.com - Greek Layer of the portal.
http://nz.example.com - New Zealand layer of the portal.
And so on with your domain propagation, this is one XOOPS, many access points.
The way to set up a multixoops is to have all the domains pointing at the same XOOPS_ROOT_PATH. This will allow xoops itself to determine the domain that is accessing it’s code base and make changes. A lot of modules do not use this feature yet so don’t be surprised on small support for it.
There is a new form object for the domains XoopsSelectDomains.
