Xquiz is a module for Xoops which lets you create multiple option quizzes at a specified time and attach them to categories in your website, users can take part quizzes and module administrators can then view quiz result statistics afterwards.
* Manage categories and subcategories
* Determine access right permission on categories
* Manage quizzes
* Manage question for each quiz
* Various statistics for the quizzes result details and export to csv file
* Uses Xoops notification system (categories and quizzes)

When you go to the download link the file is named

XQuiz Module ( For E-Learning ) Beta 1

is that just a mistake in the Name or have you linked to the wrong file?

Any chance of a who played block with scrolling scores, as at the moment no one can see which members have played, other than that it's a great module, thanks for the hard work

The column headings do not correspond to the content.

So, I swapped the variables in the file include/function.php (line 211 and 214).

You need to remove the space after ANSWER
Else, the column title will show _USER_ANSWER instead the define content.

There's a small bug with begin/end date for the quiz.
only date is taken in account.

Into the database, the format of bdate and edate is DATE, and the time is not registered.
So this code stores only the date (without hour:minute).


UPDATE x6d5_quiz SET name = '1st quiz' ,description = 'none' ,bdate = '2009-03-21 10:00:00' ,edate = '2009-03-25 8:00:00' ,weight = '1' ,cid = '1' WHERE id = '6'

Changing the format in the database to DATETIME seems to solve the problem.

This module is vulnerable to SQL Injection exploits.

There are 3 points I detected, please sanitize:

$start, $quizId and $ans before inserting to database.

Avoid the use of '' in the query, use instead $xoopsDB->quotestring().
This is very dangerous:


$query = "INSERT INTO ". $xoopsDB->prefix('quiz_users') ."

             (id ,userid ,score ,date) VALUES('$quizId','$user','$userScore','$date')";

No, I do not use tools, I like to take a look at new code so I can get new ideas and/or learn something. I'm not used to php5 so I happen to learn from you, thanks!
