Compounds 1.96

Compounds is a module for xoops 2.4 & 2.3. It utilizes some of the new features like decimal and floating point precision numbers to allow your end used to build compounds in XOOPS. A Compound is a combination of chemical periodical movements that allows for building larger chemical soups from.

The idea of this module is to generate a soup kitchen for compounds, see chemists don't have blogs they have what is called a soup and compounds is a component of this for your XOOPS Site. If you would like to see a demonstration of this module goto my wifes site - http://www.chemical-reaction.biz.

The compounds module allows for dynamic building of alloys, cyclonic changes, isolinear particles and other forms of compounds. It has a dynamically assigned system and uses a symbolisation method to define display.

I wrote this module over a few days a week or so ago when I had no internet due to the bill. No chemical resources books or any have been used, the only chemistry book in the house is Simple Plants Isoquinolines by Dr. Alexander Shulgin (Which is about many things including making metal from plants).

X-SOAP 4.22 - SOAP SERVER

X-SOAP 4.22 - SOAP SERVER

What is SOAP?

SOAP (Simple Object Access Protocol) is a way for a program running in one kind of operating system (such as Windows 2000) to communicate with a progam in the same or another kind of an operating system (such as Linux) by using the World Wide Web's Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP)and its Extensible Markup Language (XML) as the mechanisms for information exchange. Since Web protocols are installed and available for use by all major operating system platforms, HTTP and XML provide an already at-hand solution to the problem of how programs running under different operating systems in a network can communicate with each other. SOAP specifies exactly how to encode an HTTP header and an XML file so that a program in one computer can call a program in another computer and pass it information. It also specifies how the called program can return a response.

What Can It Do for Me?

You can link with any soap-compliant system with complete w3c standard wsdl these will be completed in version 4.0 they are more just the abstract data layers of wsdl, they still need a dynamic mime type and other system written into them which the constructs are in place. You can transfer data between any sort tunnel through most of not all firewalls and poll your xoops platform from with another xoops or CMS or even things like .NET, Delphi and many other programming languages.

X-SOAP is the quick way for cloud computing, you can link your xoops platform with any other computer network with this module, plug-in have complete WSDL compilation code and allow for easy and dynamic deployment.

Whats New in this release?

* The PHP SOAP has now been fixed, this will work with the native PHP SOAP as well as use nusoap if the PHP Extension is not installed. (No more echo buffered function names)
* Anonymous plugs are also active

After a while of testing, we're ready to fully launch the NightQuest Software website.

On our site, we're using several techniques we hadn't used before: jQuery (in XOOPS 2.3.3), making it possible to use a lightbox (we've chosen for Slimbox).

Olédrion, the Xoops e-Commerce module now in version 2.31

Hello,

We are happy to announce you the immediate release of our e-Commerce module for Xoops,Olédrion version 2.31.

This version is important for two reasons :
- It correct several bugs
- It brings new functionalities like the possibility to choose columns count in the pages, a plugin system, wish lists and above all products attributes

Update from a previous version
If you are updating the module since a previous version, recopy the new version on your site (and be sure to erase old files) then update the module in the Xoops modules manager.
Then, be sure to go at least one time in the module's administration so that it updates the database.

New installation
Copy the files to your site the install the module in the Xoops modules manage.
Don't forget to set the parameters of the Paypal gateway, to set the module's preferences and to have a look to the file config.php (at the module's root).
The module requires Php 5

Translations
There were some changes in the translations, they are listed in the file called lang.diff available at the module's root.
There are also some indications on what to change in the changelog.php file.

UTF8
the modules now comes with UTF8 versions of the french and english translations.

Modifications made to the module
- Code refactoring
- The block used to show categories can now show all categories unfolded (useful if you need to create a scrolling menu)
- You have 2 new options to select the columns count on the module's index page and on the category page
- The page used to show the list of recommended products was added to the Xoops menu
- In the orders manager, you can now see the total of your orders
- Addition of wish lists.
- The module does not use anymore extJs (the module is lighter of 6 Mb), so the "all products" page was changed
- Corrections in the module's administration, in the part used to manage files attached to products
- Correction of a bug in the PayPal's Gateway
- You can set a message to display on the checkout form
- Some changes in the gateways structures
- Bug correction in the CSV export
- Addition of a new option to enable clients to enter their VAT number
- Addition of a new block : Recently Sold
- Correction of several bugs in the cart, be sure to update your templates
- The product's page now uses a lightview effect to show the product's picture
- You have a new tab, "blocks", to see the module's blocks
- The module will automatically update the monetary fields in its tables to decimal(10,2) to accept billions
- You have a new preferences called "Maximum products count to display before to replace the list with an adapted list".
When the module reach a certain count of products, they are too much to be seen in the module's list so the module replace this standard
lists with a new kind of list (and search).
- The module now uses jQuery intensively
- Several bugs corrections when a product is removed
- Addition of products attributes
- You can now use and create plugins for the module (see the "plugins" folder for examples)
As an example, the notifications on a new product and new category are made with plugins

Payment gateways
you should soon buy some payment gateways for this module.

Download
You can download this new version on XOOPS SourceForge
on Google Code : http://code.google.com/p/oledrion/
or on Sourceforge : http://sourceforge.net/projects/oledrion/

Happy e-Commerce with Xoops and Olédrion,

Watermark Hack for Xoops Core Imagemanager

This is a hack to xoops 2.3.3 which gives you the ability to add a watermark to images that you upload through the image manager.

The name of your watermark should be watermark.png and it should be located under uploads… /uploads/watermark.png. Replace the files located in the zip file with the files in your Xoops installation.

Thanks to Mowaffaq Ali at http://www.arabxoops.com for making a donation to this project. Please post your suggestions and feedback Xoops Forums or at my website

New Theme on XOOPS Site - live test

The new theme for our Website goes live for testing as our main theme

Please let us know in this thread , what works, and what needs still improvement.

If you have navigation problems with the new theme, and would like to use the previous one, there is a block in the right column to switch back to Zetagenesis.

We are aware that there are still some cosmetic issues to fix, and your feedback and your patience are very much appreciated.

Our BIG "Thank You" to BitC3R0 for all his work on making this design a reality and making XOOPS look cool!!!
