TDM is pleased to announce you the release of TDMDownloads 1.5!
We have gone from version 1.1 directly to version 1.5 because I made a lot of changes and bug fixes. The module is now faster and consume fewer resources.
List of bugs:
- The display sub-categories in "viewcat.php" does not work.
- Loss of many language definitions for the file : ratefile.php.
- Fixed import system.
- You could get downloads awaiting validation with their ids in "singlefile.php.
- The categories were not viewed as a tree in the file "search.php".
- Fixed file "search.php".
- Pages ‘s title were not working when we were in sub-categories.
- When editing a download or a file, if the logo was no longer exists, the logo : "blank.gif" doesn’t become the default".
- Errors in language files.
- In the preferences, if you set '0 ' as the number of new downloads on the homepage, all downloads were displayed
Bug on display mode while redirections in the admin section.
List of improvements
- Performance Module (the number of request has decreased by 5).
- The pages titles has been modified to improve the ranking.
- Adding a permissions to download files. (2 types).
- Adding permissions to auto-approve the proposals for download.
- The display of categories in admin has been reviewed.
- Permissions can be set creating a category.
- You can now set manually the date of update, (allowed in the edit mode and for only administrators).
- When creating or editing, you can choose whether the download is approved (only administrators).
- The display of downloads page is modifiable only by admin side.
- Empty fields are not displayed.
- The file "search.php" has been completely redesigned to improve its speed.
- Ability to protect downloads (impossible to download with a direct link). See the tab 'About' in the administration module.
- Added a stylesheet for templates.
- Added a “Donation Button” working only with Paypal.
Information
- Adding the suffix "cat_" in all fields of the table "tdmdownloads_cat.
- See the file "lang_diff.txt" for changes in language.
Platform:
The module was tested with Xoops 2.3.x and cannot run on a 2.0.x
Languages :
Available in French, English, Arabic, Persian and German.
Important Information:
The future version 1.6 will have new templates and will be only compatible with XOOPS 2.5.

9 New themes based on BlankTheme
To show the ease of use BlankTheme, Xoops and nothing less than the other CMS (quite the contrary actually).
The XOOPS Design Team has adapted to Xoops, different existing designs on other platforms for content management. With very little practice, you can perform the adaptation of a design in less than a day!

Blank Theme and Xoops-Styles Module
Two new design tools available to the community by XOOPS Design Team:
- Blank Theme, a theme is minimalist (but rich in features) with id and class different style sheets are not writed with the exception of the minimum for the structure.
- Xoops-Styles Module : from an original idea of Burning, this module based on the "Ghost" Module displays on the different page id and class used by Xoops. Convenient to forget nothing.

Help Testing PDO Database Support
Have you ever wanted to run XOOPS on something apart from MySQL?
I have been doing some research since the start of this forum post and have fitted now the PDO to XOOPS 2.5 Beta.
This is right now just a research project for possible inclusion with 2.6 series, but I need some help with testing as a lot of these database systems are quiet expensive.. There is support for Postgres, Oracle, Sybase, ADO, ODBC, MS SQL, MSDE and many others like interbase and it GNU counterpart firebird.
This archive contains all the changed files for testing.. I need help testing this as much as possible.. There is no reason for it to not work unless there is some reserved word or microsoft problem with pivoting MySQL files to xoops.. Of course you can include the needed files as well, but it will attempt to pivot on mYql files if it can't find a SQL file for the selected database type..

Catads 1.53 BETA available for testing
Much Kudos to TDMXoops for their work on Catads. This update is based on their 1.522 FINAL version with some issues resolved and some new features.
The module is currently in BETA, so any help fixing the problems outlined in the project page on dev.xoops.org would be much appreciated. A virtual lake of beer for anyone who fixes the search-results pagination issue!.
Unfortunately, I can only test with Xoops 2.3 and PHP/MySQL 4 so if there are any issues related to later versions I will be asking for help myself.
The English language files are updated and the default install now creates world region and country menus instead of the French regional data of the previous version. At present, to customise these menus to suit your locale you will need to edit the database tables directly. It's not hard to do, but please make a backup first.
The original French and Arabic language packs from 1.522 FINAL need some updating before they can be used, but I have made those files available for download separately if someone wants to have a go.

* Tags are now included in search.
* Tag search now includes other tags.
* Partial postcode search supported.
* Restrict keyword search by category, town, region etc.
* Search repects expired, suspended and waiting ads.
* RSS repects expired suspended and waiting ads.

* Restrict publication date option.
* No-image option for sub-categories.

* Ad template now uses theme CSS.
