XOOPS: A new core development area for XOOPS

Skalpa has just announced the opening of our new core dev area

"I'm publicly opening the new (core) development site, which will become the one of only source of information about the XOOPS developement from now on.

It is far from being complete, but I believe this is the way things should be: give something to everybody even unfinished, then
build progressively.

The devlog will be updated daily as much as possible, and alpha releases will be published there too."

no,

dev.xoops.org is for module's development
devteam.xoops.org is for core dev
no changes, only a better way to document core devs and share core code, so that more and more devs will understand XOOPS Code, and so join our project. that's, I think, the goal

yes, skalpa is calling for more collaborative works between mod devs & core devs.
Seems that for him, core devs should be aware of end users needs, that module devs are aware of.
That's why he's asking hervet, phppp, marcan, mith, Dave_L & I to "organize the official modules development effort" :

That's a joke, right?

The site is using XOOPS 2.3-alpa1 and will always use the latest development code.

Serendipity is in a XOOPS module, I believe.

although I read 'xoops powered' in the footer, in the sidebar there's a serendipity graphic and link to www.s9y.org.

And I had no idea there was a serendipity module.

I think, separation instead of integration is extremely bad idea, which give only more confusing and troubles to all
- We must monitor core development on berlios SVN
- We see at modules at dev.xoops.org
- We discuss XOOPS core and modules at... where?... sf.net? www.xoops.org?! dev.xoops.org?!?!
- We read actual docs... where?... at docs.xoops.org?

It's nightmare... Stop REvolutions, lets live with smooth Evolution. XOOPS 2.2 disaster must teach at least something!

Sorry to say, but I totally agree with LB on this.
I am totally lost and very confused on the many different XOOPS url's:
core dev., modules., modules repository., roadmap(s)., XOOPS 2.2 api docs., docs., module dev., and what else is around I don't even know of.
There are too many new url's, what about the old ones? Where should one look? Where should one be?
I am not talking about the several different xoops.org mailinglists. This also is getting confusing more and more.

I notice I cannot even give a descend reply on this all.....I cannot folluw up.....I am LOST,.. TOTALLY.

Main site should use some XML feed module like XMLine, so we could track news from sub-XOOPS sites (ex. dev.xoops.org and devteam.xoops.org) in one place. Yesterday for example Mithrandir posted news on dev.xoops.org about Reorganisation of dev.xoops.org. It's worth reading it.
