I am looking for a module that will allow people to download some stuff after making a payment through paypal or some other payment gateway.

Any module that already does this.

Oledrion can sell downloadable contents.

I tried Olderion but it seems I can not upload the book directly from the module.

Is there any other module that I can Use.
Or Is it should be for someone to modify an existing download module to add this option.

no payment just an idea

create 2 group in admin - normal user and premium user

allow only premium user to download...in download module permission

Why not?
I think Oledrion should be the premier module for payed downloads.

Yup, Olderion uploads files via the admin>products>"Path of the file to download" field.

not quite an answer but a workaround: use wfdownloads, create, like mentioned before, a premium group.
Specify the price of the product and after receiving a payment add the client to the premium group. In wfdownload you create a categroy that is only accesible by the premium group. easy as that and workable I think...

I think the best solution is to have a paid subscription, then you create groups and you fix for each group its permissions according the subscription price: for example : group A can do 1,2,3 and the yearly fees is x $, while the group B can do only 1 and 2, and its yearly fees is y$.
I think the TDM is preparing such module
