I found this a multi db version of XOOPS on XOOPS china site. its for version 2.0.18 though and the read me is completely unreadable for me! i was wondering if anyone had considerd leveraging on the work done by XOOPS china while we wait for XOOPS 3.0. You know a temporary usefull tool, somthing like what wishcraft did with XOOPS multisite 2.33

ok i guess i was a lil misunderstood. I like the multisite 2.33, and i have been experimenting with it. what i was referring to rather was a multi database, you know installing XOOPS with oracle or postgre rather than just MySQL. i found somthing on XOOPS china which was for 2.0.18, and was wondering if someone could try somthing similar for 2.33

Oracle is complicated, but not so difficult to do.
I've seen implementations on PHP with PostgreSQL and it is almost identical for the calls as mySQL, so this would be easy.
First of all you need the other database on your host server ...
