one of XOOPS advantages from other cms is the powerful group permission and block management it has...i would like to suggest some improvement...

- block title..make an option (yes/no) so that user can select to show or not to show the block title.the current option is not put a title or use
this hack http://xoopsexperts.com/modules/wordpress/?p=26

- permission of block in the block management...now we have to go to the group setting..why just not put it in the block main page
- cloning of group ..cloning of block has already been implemented..what about group cloning ?..this is a must
- more block positions
- a more clean block - https://xoops.org/modules/smartfaq/faq.php?faqid=673 put an option in admin


if anyone have any other suggestion, post it here..hope someone outhere especially the core developer can implement these suggestion in XOOPS 2.3 or in future version 3.0 etc...thanks

It would be great to have a feature to view blocks by page not just by modules.

Something like this module here:

There will be some up and coming changes that will change the way we deal with blocks.

The implementation of custom menus will see the movement away from module placement blocks to menu placement blocks. Plus with the introduction of the core content module, it will be easy to tie the whole three up without having to do any hacks.

Mentioned this before and although it has to do more with notifications, it also has to do with groups..
Wish I could set notifications for a group. Makes not much sense on an internet bases XOOPS site, but if its run as a company's intranet site.. it does. Would be great if a new important newssection is created and all employees need to receive an email as soon as a newsitem is posted.

It would be nice if you're an admin to have some options on the block on the frontpage.

Eg. When you mouse over the block to have option customize or remove etc..

That's great news Catzwolf. Any idea on when these features might be released on a version of xoops.

Another nice to have would be the ability to place random blocks that links into the content of other blocks.

What about block without tiles?

Like a blocks in MyTabs.. when you put '-' infront of the title, it doesn't show up.
